We are thrilled to welcome the genre-bender italian duo gizA djs to When We Dip XYZ with ‘Living In A Glitch’. The EP is a great introduction into the creative world of Tiziano & Gian Petro, where staple electronic music sounds are morphed into uniquely crafted, high-energy dancefloor cuts. Diynamic, Glasgow Underground, Exploited and KitKat Club are just a few of their very impressive list of cosigns. 

The release kicks off with ‘Devotion Machine’, on which the 303 and robotic vocals evoke the paradox of technology which remains futuristic decades after being out in the world. Off the smashing second drop, a melancholic synth line completes the tune. 

‘Living In A Glitch’, is a powerful track where technological perfection is constantly interrupted by unforeseen glitches. The ever-changing leading melody constitutes the backbone as the morphed vocals and percussions lead the groove in all kinds of twists and turns. 

On ‘Son Finto La Notte’ a robotic opera star sings about the gleam that characterizes his nights. Behind the curtain however, there is a certain phoniness to it all. Nonetheless, the energetic hats, lively ‘yeah’ and omnipresent risers take him and his listeners to an undeniable dance. 

‘Echoes Of Victory’ is the conclusion of the EP, evoking a sense of peace after a long period of turmoil. On the original mix, the breaks turn into 4/4, marking the last exclamation before the final fade away. An alternative fully breakbeat mix is also available.

Cologne’s Motip White is back on When We Dip XYZ with ‘The Infinite Edge’ EP, a two-tracker which showcases Motip’s songwriting prowess coupled with his signature raw, grimy sound.

On the title track, ‘The Infinite Edge’ the twists and turns of the bass progression make way for the celestial melodies and gritty drums. The hopeful harmony and upbeat vocals contrasts with White’s lyrics speaking of losing his mind in an ever-confusing world which keeps on moving faster and faster. 

On ‘Straight To The Sun’, the saturated combo of vocals and guitar lead the way. The raspy bassline and the triplet kicks interact with the hats and shakers invigorating the groove. White’s hummed vocals in the break lighten the mood, pulling hips and ears straight to the Springtime sun.
