It's the promise of returning to warm nights spent dancing in starlight, and of embracing new and old friends after too many months spent apart, sheltering from the dark and cold.

But now the days are longer, and cities suddenly feel alive, humming away once again.

This spring, we've brought together new stories from talented musicians around the world for the third instalment of our Seasons series.

Each producer crafts a unique musical tapestry, often using thumping drums, beautiful synthetic melodies, and haunting vocal samples to capture the pure jubilation of spring and excitement for what lies ahead.

Nosowicz debuts on Sirin Music with ¨Feu de Bois¨ EP. Being Warsaw-based artist began DJ’ing in 00’s and played all over Polish and European clubs including Ibiza, Germany, Slovenia and France. While studying in Silesian Film School, Nosowicz made his first steps in producing electronic & psychedelic music, mainly for film etudes.

For many years since then he produced music in differend genres from house and electro to chillout, and jazz influenced electronics. Nosowicz works is a resultant of love to analog synthesizers sounds and inspiration of organic and shamanic culture. Producers also takes part in Spaceboy – psychedelic electronic live act well known on festivals in Poland.

As Nosowicz describes the record, Feu de Bois EP is a colorful trip thru organic house and tribal fields. The titled work is happy and powerful organic house track with acid elements remixed by Mafia Mike – Nosowicz’s club alter ego. “Olson” is a sunny tune inspired by Boards Of Canada’s ambient from 90s with great afrohouse remix from Mike Konstanty. Finally, “Ethreal” — a track that closes the EP — laidback but club friendly organic house banger.

Luka Sambe and Filter Bear make a welcome return to Cid Inc's Replug Records with ‘Ekhi XIX'. Based in Sydney, the duo's deep, emotive creations have long been favoured by progressive music's top tastemakers; with Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren all being steadfast supporters. Although frequent studio partners, the Australian artists had appeared on Replug in a solo capacity previously, with Filter Bear's ‘La Rinconada'  and Luka's ‘Shepherds In The Stars' coming in 2016 and 2017 respectively. Now following collaborative efforts for Lost & Found and Manjumesi, it seems only appropriate that the duo return to Replug with a joint two track artist showcase. 

In what has proven to be an ongoing creative partnership, close friends Luka Sambe and Filter Bear have managed to stretch their sonic palette with each successive project. This sentiment holds true once again with the unique combination of rhythm, musicality and soul in the lead piece ‘Ekhi XIX'.  Spanning eight magical minutes the duo explore waves of tranquil motifs and funk fuelled sub bass, all perfectly laced with layers of exotic percussion. Energetic yet spacious, its airy quality elevates as the swirling arrangement drops into a blissful centrepiece. Elegant and tasteful, the interlude transfers energy into a smooth build, rising once more and perfectly segueing into a dreamy finale.

Rounding out the release is ‘27S' which finds the Aussie duo moving closer to peak time territory. Borderless in approach, the piece is characterized by a rolling, sub heavy groove and deliberate, techno inspired framework. Character and shape abounds, it's a low end to move mountains, which fiery percussion, tight arps and chord stabs add further rhythmic flair to. Exotic drums then come in waves, as vocal choirs and glowing overlays descend as the breakdown ensues. Increasingly tense yet achingly gorgeous, a joyous piano motif and resounding drum roll are juxtaposed perfectly, leading to an energetic drop and final act for the ages.  

With 'Ekhi XIX' Luka Sambe and Filter Bear continue to build on their creative synergy, delivering two more creations that will be firmly etched in the hearts of progressive music fans, adding nicely to a joint body of work that already contains some of the genre's finest moments.

‘Droplet’ is an electronica journey of haunting vocals and walls of hypnotic ocean-like synths, driven along by the low end of deep house. The track takes thematic inspiration from the planetary water
cycle and the following premise: as we are all ultimately one, there is nothing to fear.

Beacon Bloom are an ethereal, genre-fluid electronica act hidden away in New Zealand. ‘Droplet’ is the band's debut release with Australian and New Zealand based boutique label Beat & Path. For Beacon Bloom, 2021 will start with multiple festival performances in New Zealand and a potential European tour (dependent on COVID-19).

For his take on ‘Droplet’, Niko Schwind lets his composition skills loose, adding a heartfelt breakdown, a woozy, stuttering riff and a punching bassline. The result is crisp and DJ-friendly, accentuating all
the wistfulness of Beacon Bloom’s original while keeping energy levels high. This is a remix that’s perfectly tailored for the final moment of an outdoor festival.

Jamie Stevens and Joe Miller take the left-hand path on this one, veering down a twilit road where creatures scuttle and shadows flit out the corners of your eyes. Restrained but resolute, this version is for fans of Pampa Records and the dark surge of energy that comes from understated midnight DJ sets.
