Toronto producer Dowden joins Modern Agenda Music with his three track EP, Ripple. Each of the tracks carries something special, each is unique in its own sound. 

Ripple, the title track, is in collaboration with local Torontonian vocalist, Amber Long. Ripple is a melancholic vocal track that leaves space to the imagination as the melody carries the mood along. Keyway is signature sound for Modern Agenda music, a perfect addition to any set, with that deep Progressive House sound, rolling bass, intricate percussion, just a beautiful piece of work. Somber is, as the name suggests, very dark, cinematic and the perfect introspective ending track to any set.

PREMIERE: Dowden Feat. Amber Long - Ripple (Original Mix) [Modern Agenda]

The original versión from the EP ‘Analogical Jungle” will be released among remixes by top artists like Lonya and Armandhe 28th of February. This track, released on the Canadian label Droid9 is the welcome back of the spanish producer Adrian Roman to the label.

For this young artist, After some first releases, top labels began to trust on him. Strange Town Recordings, Balkan Connection South America, Dear Deer Black or Natura Viva are some examples.

This 2019 begins terrific for him, releasing Savannah and recieving supports from artists like Guy J, Kamilo Sanclemente or Mariano Mellino.

The track is full of ambiental sounds creating a great atmosphere highlighting the smooth percussion with innumerable tribal instruments, from beginning to end.

Madloch's Sound Avenue imprint continues a strong start to the year by showcasing the first installment of it's 'Re:Imagined' series. These Various Artists EP showcases will take a look back over the label's catalog, presenting new interpretations from some of the freshest talent in the underground. In what promises to be a highlight in the Belgian imprints release schedule, the first installment finds Nopi, Hot TuneiK, Retza and Gimerique re-interpreting tracks from Paula OS, Paul Angelo and Don Argento, Paul Deep and Lerr respectively.

Sitting at the heart of Mexico's electronic music culture is Hot TuneiK. The Hookah Records boss has continued to delight progressive music fans with his deep, organic sound. 2019 proved to be another successful year for the Mexico City resident, yielding several successful collaborations and a hugely popular take on Andain's 'Beautiful Things'. Now returning to Sound Avenue Hot TuneiK turns in a stellar rendition of Paul Angelo and Don Argento's 'Durendal'.  The groove gets reworked into something a bit chunkier while a complement of tranquil arps, misty atmospheres and organic percussion fill in the framework. Musically less pronounced, the Mexican artist opts for a meditative yet powerful approach, building tension subtly across the main break though timely modulation, before smoothly segueing into a fiery finale.

As TOR continues to set a strong early foundation, we head to the Mediterranean for an EP bursting with summer flavor and genuine energy. Collaborations are a pillar of the label program at When We Dip, as they capture the community and collective essence of electronic music.

Greek aficionado VieL has garnered a stellar reputation for groove and melody through a string of projects with Tale & Tone, Hoomidas, and Akbal Music. Joining him in the drivers seat are Italian comrades Madraas; a revamped moniker for a longtime partnership, who’ve graced the likes of Soundgarden and Ready Mix Records. The three seasoned producers have come together for a top drawer project, joining TOR in the presentation of the Vires EP.

Setting the stage is the release’s title track, Vires. We dive right into the groove as a crisp kick sets the mood for a track brimming with low frequency. The haunting basslines are infectious, as light percussive rhythms and strings bring character to the breakdown. A late-night tune for vibey dancefloors.

Roques harnesses melancholic melodies for a smooth and dreamy affair. A simple vocal loop plays along in background, as natural textures and swirling synths keep listeners' minds moving.

Rounding out the trio, Omnes brings heady percussion and piano work. Rhythms rotate from the start, and a playful melody brings a sense of cohesiveness to the EP’s closing.

The latest release from Nikko.Z's Dopamine White finds Lio Q and Nicolas Leonelli collaborating on a new EP. The Argentinean duo have been frequent studio partners since first pairing in November of last year with a release on Just Movement. Subsequent outings on Deepwibe Underground, One Of A Kind and Strangers Beats have made them one of progressive music's duos to watch. Now debuting on Dopamine White Lio and Nicolas present their 'Red Forest' EP. 

Spread across two tracks it's the tough yet bouncy mood of the title selection which leads the release off. Punchy beats and nicely sculpted bass unite for a powerful low end, while trippy vocal fragments and metallic percussion advance the narrative. Haunting overlays lead into the main break as a luminous arp rises to prominence. Undeniably progressive, its emotive quirks play off a backdrop of cinematic pads, before perfectly shifting energy into a powerful drop and groovy finale.

'Fairywren' follows suit with its driving bass lines and darker undertones. Robust rhythms carry the muscular foundation, while neatly tailored percussion and playful arps sweep across the stereo field. Energy and tension continue to rise, as placid pads and wispy effects segue into an expansive break. Clocking in at nearly two minutes in length, the centrepiece melts down to a quiet calm, offering a tranquil headspace for a gentle build and pulsating final movement. A gorgeous production from Lio Q and Nicolas Leonelli, who continue to build a great partnership with their Dopamine White debut.
