As August takes its last breath, TOR reconnects with the Barcelona-based Brazilian - Pedro Capelossi. Pedro is an important figure in both the thriving Sao Paulo electronic scene, as well as the quintessential dance community in the Catalonian mecca. Capelossi has launched onto the international scene with a production style rooted in jazz-driven melodic house. After vibrant projects on the likes of Seven Villas and Dream Culture, we’re thrilled to have him back on TOR for his second EP on the imprint.

Closing out the trio is Groundless. Solemn tones set a melancholic mood, while the enveloping bassline widens with every phrase. Capelossi eases us into the night with a blissful track for the moments when all we need is a light groove.

Fayer / Eklektisch Label Manager - A&R

After the alias of Mike Gannu's rises DJ and producer who is called upon firmly and well known to be one of the most outstanding emerging artists from the melodic techno scene of our time.

Since 2009 he has been immersed in deejaying , and more recently in production, his musical commitment is characterized by his energy, his ability to make the public move and his taste for club vibes with his melodic flow.

Also recently releasing on Sementa the label of the well renowned duo Glowal, this release was a collaboration project with good friend Fat Cosmoe. During this collab , Erosion was born a track with a blistering beat with a beautiful melodic flow along with an amazing remix from the label bosses.

Also known for being Fayer and Eklektisch's label manager, working side by side with his great friend Edu Imbernon, they have positioned both record labels at the top of the electronic music scene.

Currently, he is one of the key pillars within the Fayer project, led by his great friend Edu Imbernon. A visible figure in each of his events, he has been able to give way to artists such as Dixon, Jimi Jules, Innellea, Artbat, Maceo Plex or Denis Horvat, among many others.

“Mike Gannu” a funny, sensitive hard-working guy who has always been a restless soul in constant search of new sounds & sensations of life. Having lived in a city like London or the well known island of Ibiza, they have positively conditioned his decision to dedicate himself professionally to the creation and dissemination of electronic music with a clear goal: to transmit feelings & sensations to people through music & dance.

GetLostInMusic - Podcast #158 - Mike Gannu

DJ’ing since the mid-1990s while running record labels in London and working promotions for all manner of electronic music artists, including Bjork, Massive Attack, and The Chemical Brothers. A regular warm-up for Sasha leading to 15 years on the road, touring globally and voted best DJ in 2004. 2010 brought the inception of Never Say Never at Ushuaia Ibiza consequently throwing Dimitri deeper into studio productions creating releases for the likes of Bedrock Records, TrybesOf and All Day I Dream, peaking with a no.1 on Beatport this year with the ongoing collaborations with Natacha Atlas, Limara and Curol. 

Little note, I have taken a bit of a hiatus since 2020 and all my work and tours being canceled so if you have someone who can write up a better biography as I threw these words together in a rush, I will be grateful and it will read better. 

NB. Live and recorded sessions are always different, 500, 5000 and 50,000 people require different approaches.  I did my best to adapt according to your request. So again, I hope you like it and it’s good for you all.

With a producer career that spans almost a decade, Pedro Capelossi has quickly emerged from Spain's avant-garde electronic music landscape.

The Brazilian born - Spaniard naturalized, Barcelona based artist has forged a distinctive sound which focuses on inventive use of atmosphere and rhythm, drawing the lines between global dance cultures without adhering to any fixed formula.

In 2023 he founded his own musical imprint REFRACTION RECORDS, representing some of the world’s most avant-garde visual artists, designers and musicians. Blurring the boundaries between house, techno and its closely related derivatives, REFRACTION operates with an inherent understanding of the principles set out by electronic music’s greatest innovators.

Pablo Bolivar's Seven Villas has been a primary vehicle for Pedro's far-reaching work, with additional projects via Nick Warren's The Soundgarden, Madloch’s Sound Avenue among other specialized labels such as Loot Recordings, TOR (When We Dip) and Hoomidas Records highlighting his resume.

Over the years Pedro's tracks have counted on support from recognizable names such as Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo, Eelke Kleijn, Pablo Bolívar, Armen Miran, Matt Darrey and Airwave just to name a few.

DJing for over a decade now, in his hometown Barcelona Pedro played in some of the best parties and clubs such as PACHA, NOM Barcelona, Cafe Del Mar, City Hall, Macarena, Valhalla etc. alongside names such as Sebastien Leger, Eelke Kleijn, Cid Inc, Fur Coat and many more.

On his home turf of São Paulo he was responsible for important nightlife projects such as UNIK ID, hosting artists like Nick Warren and Cid Inc, as well as the PROGRESSION nights held at one of the most important clubs in Brazil - D.EDGE, supporting world-renowned guest artists all year round.

Pedro's DJ performances focus on underground electronic music, especially dub house and dub techno, deep house, minimal and downtempo. His versatility to move between different styles depending on audience and event, allows him to perform club gigs same as festivals.
