Northern Ireland has steadily improved over the past few years and defender Jessica Foy is a huge part of the team's exciting evolution. The youngster shares her unconventional journey to pro soccer, starting relatively late, but has wasted very little developing. Jess has made a big impact both for her club Glentoran Belfast United and the Northern Ireland National Team and she's just beginning to shine!

To kick off the 2016 women's college season, AJ "Postgame Gator" Johnson is back with an exclusive one-on-one with Florida State University and Venezuela international Deyna Castellanos. The 17-year old forward grants one of her very first interviews since joining FSU, giving us a glimpse of a bright future in the making!

Danielle Carter makes it two hat-tricks in two international appearances as England thrash Estonia 5-0 to go top of their Euro 2017 qualifying group. Interviews with Danielle Carter and Estonia manager Keith Boanas.

Bridging Gaps

The 2016 NWSL season is in the books and a new champion is crowned! Western New York Flash met league leaders Washington Spirit in a hard-fought championship final at BBVA Compass stadium in Houston, Texas on October 10, 2016. At the end of the battle, it was WNY Flash hoisting the trophy. Patty and Adam bring you all the news and highlights. Plus we hear from Washington Spirit forward Crystal Dunn, as well as WNY strikers Jessica McDonald and Lynn Williams, and goalkeeper Sabrina D'Angelo.

While covering the 2016 NWSL Championship Finals, Michelle Stile (aka Ol' Pipster) caught up with the Washington Spirit's two of three Canadians, goalkeeper Labbé and defender Zadorsky. Their thoughts on the NWSL, the Spirit, and their teammate Crystal Dunn and more!

A name known around the world of women's soccer, Alexa Gaul joins the show to chat about her new role as goal keeper coach at Columbus State University. Alexa spent a year and a half in Willstätt, Germany playing for SC Sand in the Allianz-Frauen Bundesliga. During Alexa’s tenure, SC Sand found success including advancing to the DFB Pokal Finale, the German Championship, as well as defeating the defending European Champion, VFL Wolfsburg, for the first time in club history.
 
The former University of Texas goalkeeper also discusses her time playing for UMF Selfoss in Iceland and her USA national team experience, as a member of the junior U.S. National Teams. Straight from the professional ranks after wrapping up her playing days in Germany, Alexa gives us insight on what it's like to transition from player to coach in a very short time and her goals for the future.

Women's World Football Show welcomes back Jana Lange to discuss all things and the German Women's National Team. The Bundesliga is already five rounds in, so Jana and Adam sat down to discuss the surprising rise of Turbine Potsdam, the slow start of Bayern München, and everything in between. The pair also take an in-depth look at the progress the German National Team, the recent Olympic Gold Medal run, changes set forth by new head coach Steffi Jones, and more!

As the USA U-20 team prepares for the upcoming 2016 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup, Patty caught up with head coach Michelle French. The affable coach talks about the recent NTC Invitational held at Stub Hub Center in Carson, Calif., where England came away with an impressive win (Brazil and Korea DPR also participated). Women's World Football Show welcomes Leonard "Lenny" Lun, president and CEO of Upper V Athlete Management. Lenny has become the sports agent to many athletes in women's soccer and he's here to give us a rare inside look into the profession.

Much to the dismay of everyone, Heather O'Reilly recently announced her retirement from international play, ending a celebrated career of 231 appearances for the U.S. Women's National Team. After a memorable farewell match against Thailand (where she scored and assisted with a goal), HAO shares with us that emotional match and some of her thoughts throughout the game. 

HAO was a high school teenager when she got the call up to the USWNT, spending her growing-up years as an integral member of the team. So, how do you leave something that's been so much a part of who you are? The 3-time Olympic gold medal winner gives us a glimpse into her decision to leave at the height of her career, what does the future hold and what will the legacy of HAO be to the sport she still loves? The competition is fierce in the women's game, so when opportunities are presented, the hungry ones go full force. On this episode, Women's World Football Show features a couple of players who are not throwing away their shot!

First up is U.S. Women's National Team goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher. The New England native knows what it's like to live and play outside of her comfort zone and she's made a career out of it. In this rare interview, Alyssa gives us insight into her experiences moving away from home playing at Turbine Potsdam in Germany and then later leaving the comfy confines of her hometown area for the windy city of Chicago. Representing Australia on the U-17 and U-20 squads, Angie Beard is one of the more dynamic defenders in the women's game. Currently with Brisbane Roar in the W-League, the 19-year old was a nominee for the 2015/16 W-League Young Footballer of the Year award. Angie's defensive craftiness led to her being awarded Brisbane Roar's Player of the Year for 2015/16. (26:00')

As a shy kid growing up in a small Caribbean island, Karina grew to be one of the most popular goalkeepers in the women's game, a champion for self-expression and a voice for underdogs everywhere. Karina discovered soccer at the ripe old age of 11, beginning a journey into self-discovery which made her known throughout the world for a personality as colorful as the mohawks she rocks.

Karina spent her career showing us that we can be fierce and fiery and still be light-hearted and caring.
