Cara Sur es el primer LP de Derrok lanzado bajo el alero de Nómade, este release propone un viaje musical completo desde el primer Track hasta el onceavo, con momentos de misterio que se revelan a lo largo del disco.

Sonidos de la naturaleza: la fuerza del trueno, la libertad de las Turcas que cantan desenvueltas, se funden de una manera sutil y orgánica con beats lentos propios del House. Un trabajo que destaca por su dinamismo y progresión, con dos tracks introductorios y tres tracks finales que dejan claro un mensaje de paz. Un mapa con la ruta hacia la tranquilidad del alma que solo puede darse en los bosques, en la vida silvestre, lejos de la urbe, de los semáforos silenciosos que dirigen un tránsito sin sentido.

Derrok construye un puente sonoro que vincula a quien escucha con las raíces de nuestra América indómita. Le da sonido a una caravana gitana y latina que avanza en busca del rescate de los ritualitos, que llenan el espíritu de viajeros de todo el globo, aportando a un cambio de mira, a un cambio de paradigma sonoro y social, menos competitivo y mas colaborativo.

Temas como “Recuerdos” con Vruno y “Dueños de la cima” con Rodrigo Gallardo, hablan del poder del trabajo en conjunto, de la fuerza que toma la música cuando es compartida. El sonido del charango acompañado de sintetizadores armónicos permite una gama de matices silvestres y vanguardistas, que te llevan directo a los bosques del sur.

Su música es una pócima dulce que se revuelve al ritmo aproximado de los 100bpm, invitándote a un baile que más parece una aventura por un sendero milenario. Te mueves como avanzando entre ramas, saltando troncos y esquivando telarañas, sin dejar huella, invitado por duendes y seres mitológicos australes. Su ritmo va dejando pausas para que respires y vuelvas con mas fuerza a moverte – tú - todo rama de Coigüe, que se balancea al compás de un temporal de viento que sopla desde la Cara Sur.

On Camino de Flores, his second full-length album, El Búho reimagines electronic music through the lense of the natural world and its rich soundscapes. 

Drawing on the inspiration of traditional rhythms and sounds, notably from Latin America, Camino de Flores is an album that transports you to another place. Following the success of his first LP, titled Balance, El Búho is back and takes us on a journey from high mountains to cascading waterfalls, from a dusky rainforest to a crackling fire beneath a clear, star-filled sky. The album charts a pathway between traditional rhythms, the sound of the natural world, IDM electronica and a deep, enveloping dancefloor sound. 

With rhythms, instruments and effects built from field recordings or “found sound”, on Camino de Flores it is often hard to distinguish between synths and drum machines, from birds, water, rain or crunching leaves.

My last Trip in west africa brought me to the archipelago of Bijagos in the atlantic ocean, one of the most beautiful wild archipelagoes of the planet. The poeple living in that archipelago called also „The Bijagos“ ist the most mysterious community of Guinea-Bissau. They symbolize all the resistance of the Guinean people. In five centuries of colonization, they never submitted themselves to the Portuguese occupant. Until the Independence, the Portuguese troops had to face regularly murderous attacks in the whole of the archipelago. Their protected traditions, thanks to their pride, are almost unknown. Half of the islands of the archipelago are uninhabited and are so much of use to the that the childs, and the teenagers have an enviable life. Up to the age of 22 years, the young people Bijagos does not work and can have a sexual activity unbridled with several partners. The family take totally care of them. Their 22 years over, they have to exile themselves on islands remote from their village during a big lapse of time which will be dedicated to the work and to the initiation, a compulsory stage to become a man, this stage ends with a big cermonie called „Fanado„ wich takes place in the „ sacred woods„. Once completed, the initiate is ready to return to his family as a new man, capable of taking care of other people in the tribe.
