St. Petersburg based musicians Andrey Kinly, Anton Berezin and Grigory Babak have managed an independent electronic music VA named Hand to Hand to support the human rights organizations: Mediazona (an independent media platform focused on the judiciary, law enforcement and penal system in Russia founded by Pussy Riot members Maria Alyokhina and Nadezhda Tolokonnikova) and OVD-Info (an independent human rights media project aimed at combating political persecution.

Bio : Simona Dellamorte is a dj and producer based in Haarlem, The Netherlands. She is currently performing around Europe with her sci/fi, cyberpunk-inspired solo project: Feralia Planitia. Her eponymous debut EP, released at the end of 2021, was well received by the press and the public, and it is still being aired by electronic music radio programs around the world. Dellamorte’s compositions evoke the diverse styles of electronic music she loves, Ebm, industrial and electro, but at the same time it sounds highly personal and original. Using a mix of hardware, software synths and percussions, she creates entrancing tracks with a futuristic, dystopian feel, bolstered by captivating rhythms that are never obvious.

On 26 February, hundreds of Israeli settlers went on a violent late-night rampage in Huwara and other villages in the northern West Bank, leaving one local resident dead and 100 others injured and the town ablaze.

This compilation of music was put together in order to raise funds that can hopefully give some aid to the residents of Huwara, all of the proceeds Confused Machines make from digital sales will go directly to Physicians For Human Rights – Israel (PHRI) www.phr.org.il An NGO that works in the occupied Palestinian territory, promoting Palestinians' right to health and providing direct medical and humanitarian assistance.

The compilation hosts a roster of both local and international artists spanning a wide spectrum of leftfield electronic music. Acid, Drone, Noise, Downtempo, Techno, SoundCollage and more.
All of these tracks are new and have not been heard before, many of them have been created with Huwara and Palestine in mind.

Though we know our reach is limited, we see this as a part of a bigger political effort to help raise awareness in our artistic circles and set motion to positive forces in dark times.

Starting off February we have Italo Moderni label-head Adrian Marth. The Barcelona-based DJ and producer's style is a fresh take on italo- and space-disco of the 80's, EBM, and electro. This is exemplified in the diverse set of artists that make up Italo Moderni Vol. 1 and subsequent Vol. 2 VA's that include Sophie du Palais, The Brvtalist, Marcelo Giordani, Kid Machine, Antoni Maiovvi, Juanpablo, as well as productions of his own. His contribution to the GF series is no exception, gradually building up from synthy EBM and italo cuts to banging electro and Dutch west coast tracks. Lock in!
