I've been playing this song for quite a few years now, and upon listening to it again while stumbling through old hard drives, I am reminded of why I felt it so important to write in the first place. I have been watching the political and social stresses happening in our country and feel as though much of what I wanted to say some time ago is screaming even louder inside me to be heard. I do not wish to go into too much detail as for the meaning of each verse in this song. I'd rather simply say that there are a great many injustices and unfair biases in this crooked world we live in. I wished to bring light to the fact that we often push ourselves to forget our dark past, and our weakness in responding to the terrible things happening to those around us.
