@jon_hester is up next on the House of Rekids Mix Show.

Having released four EPs on RSPX, a track on our 'Actualize' compilation, a genre-spanning double LP on Rekids, and featured on saxophone with Quiet Village, Jon Hester is no stranger to the label. He's logged decades of experience on dance floors, behind the decks, and in the studio, from beginnings in Chicago and Minneapolis to touring the world from his current home base of Berlin.

True to his midwest US roots, diverse varieties of both techno and house often blend together in his sets, driven by warmth, groove, and soul. He's delivered three hours of flowing grooves and heady moments, recorded live on a summery Sunday night into Monday morning at an undisclosed location in Berlin.

Guys, it makes me really happy to see that the song is well received by you. Don't be angry with me if I don't respond directly to your messages, because I don't know how the copyright situation in Germany works. I paid for the song and assume that I can continue to distribute it in the interests of the artist.

This was the last CD Release I did for Beta nightclub in 2009. Here's the copy from the CD.

"There's nothing quite like a new DJ Mix, a culmination of separate tracks, that without the mix, sound completely different on their own. In this world of disposable music, jingles and 3 minute long "hits" - the DJ stands out. With the DJ, you need a couple of hours to really understand what they do. I hope this mix, at the very least, is recognized as a work from a person who passionate about this music and this format. 75 minutes was truly a challenge - I wish I could do +5 hour DJ Mixes for every release as there are too many great stories to tell. This mix was created with Native Instruments Traktor Pro, Ableton 8, Logic 8 and Peak Pro.
