I composed this music to tell the ongoing struggle that humanity has fought against the world throughout its history. This music evokes the battles that humans have fought against the elements, the storms, and the multiple dangers present on our planet, and the beliefs that emerged from them. It expresses the emotions that humans felt in the face of these natural forces, and the ways in which they fought for their survival... I hope that this music will be appreciated, and I infinitely thank those who support me. If you enjoyed my music, a small like would please me greatly and motivate me to continue.

Clemency presents References - her debut EP for Finn’s 2 B REAL. Three deceptively simple percussive pieces, both awkward and elegant.

Each track on the EP feels almost living and breathing; sparse, dissonant synths meet intricate drums and juddering basslines, effortlessly creating momentum and motion across the record.

‘References’ is Bethany Clements Patrick’s first EP under the Clemency alias. She’s a regular behind the decks at Partisan, Soup Kitchen & The White Hotel, and co-runs Manchester’s Mutualism club night, label & NTS show.

Using causality and repetition as a conceptual framework, the release comes with a selection of Clemency’s own references for the record, which includes poetry, literature, geographic coordinates, music and cosmetics - presented at clemencyreferenc.es

After a small digital break, here is new record from the Comic Sans' vaults. First world appearance for Low Khey with 10 tracks exploring the 90-100 bpm side of experimental bass music. Call it mutant dancehall, deconstructed dub or industrial riddims, it's difficult to describe precisely in which genre the release falls. Let's just imagine that Vybz Cartels' beats met Adrian Sherwood's punk dub sound design and that the whole thing was supervised by the evil twin of DJ Python. The big space left to the drums and the precise use of robotic sound-effects give a hyper-mechanical aspect to the riddim tracks which are aired by several interludes made of weird FX making it sound like futuristic commercials for spaceships or intergalactic bitcoin exchange. The whole project has hidden references to artificial intelligence and problems that human are facing regarding the technology. The world in wich Low Khey lives is dominated by machines, and mankind is having a rough time to say the least! But there is hope for our Homo Sapien friend... If only he kept in mind this simple advice : Never. Trust. A. Cyborg.
