Jungle Juke 1 is a first in a series of translating and sampling the best sounds from from Nigeria, Ghana, Lagos and different areas of West Africa. From super heavy afro Funk to Traditional Talking Drum not to mention the gems from the disco/soul/ reggae and gospel Archives.

Hoolius Cesar samples and twists these sounds that translate into a type of dance music genre called Juke/Footwork which originates from Chicago.

Juke/Footwork contains cut up samples, phat sub bass, a great presense of the 808 underlying it and the tempo is at least 160 bpm. Footwork is the dance that accompanies Juke Music.

In Jungle Juke 1, the samples are taking off the afro-funk track "Greedy Man" from the Nigirean band "Ikenga Superstars". Parts of the track like the guitar riffs, percussion, brass, parts of vocals are twisted up into a Highly energetic Juke Track.

An SOS call from a friend in Malaysia asking us to 'look out' for his artist, a singer/song writer, wanting to do some gigs in the UK. Obliged, we were ready and armed with the Flava Flav line "Can't do nuttin' for ya 'mam'"(creative license) the dreaded meeting happened. Disarmed and charmed we agreed to sign her straight away to the newly formed Area Boy Music.  In such a short life, Dasha has already 'lived' and has a 'soul' story to tell, adding the required, great 'voice', personality and beauty she fits perfectly with her sole label mate Paul Johnson - one old one new.

Simply known as Dasha, Dasha Logan is a 26 year old singer who has been singing professionally for the past 8 years, she started a love affair at the tender age of 4 when she fell in love with performing after touring with her father. Daughter of legendary Loganathan from the Alleycats, she has been exposed to the scene and lifestyle from a very early age and been passionate about it and developing her craft every since.
