ALISHA makes an impressive debut outing on Hot Creations with ‘Changes’, backed by a remix from  Chicago house legend Mike Dunn.  

A bubbling name within the UK house landscape for several years, it’s fair to say that 2022 was the year  that ALISHA truly emerged as a surging name of note, dropping stand-out material via Eastenderz and making  appearances at Warehouse Project, Shelter, INPUT and Amnesia for Jamie Jones’ iconic Paradise events. Taking  things up a level as she gets set for an even bigger twelve months, her first release of 2023 comes on Jones and  Lee Foss’ globally renowned Hot Creations with her latest single ‘Changes’ - accompanied by a classy remix from  ever-excellent house music icon Mike Dunn. 

“Hot Creations has always been a dream label for me to release on. ‘Changes’ was written with the  inspiration of the Paradise parties, especially visualising hearing the lead vocal on the famous terrace and  beyond” - ALISHA.  

A warping and driving production armed with tough kicks, rumbling low-ends and squelchy synths, all guided by  the track’s hooky and infectious vocal sample from South Street Player’s iconic 1993 record ‘(Who?) Keeps  Changing Your Mind’, ‘Changes’ is a rugged yet vibrant production geared to keep dancers moving as much as  ALISHA’s own high energy presence in the booth. Switching up the aesthetic and diving deep into a swirling,  soulful journey, Mike Dunn’s remix harnesses the vocal to pair with rich chords for a delightful slice of house music.

Originally hailing from Serbia, Misha is a Washington DC-based artist who has been making a name for himself with releases on Rawthentic, Tamango, and his own High Class Nasty imprint, with his last two outings gracing the top spot in the Beatport tech house charts. The Echostage resident now readies his Hottrax debut with the vibrant ‘Ritmo De Verao’ EP, fusing kinetic beats and low-end grooves. 

Opener 'Ritmo De Verao' is a party-pumping cut peppered with lively percussion, rolling snares and tin-pot sounds next to an alluring vocal that brings the heat to what is a no-nonsense tech house weapon. Emerging artist Candidate has hit the ground running after debuting on Hottrax in 2023 with ‘Sore Feet Society’ as part of the ‘Tripleution’ VA highlighting exciting global talent. Over the past year, he has been honing his craft, blending 90s-infused house with groovy analogue basslines on impressive releases like his ‘Bass Revolution’ EP on Max Dean’s NeXup imprint, which shot to No. 1 on Beatport within just two days and earned support from Chris Stussy and East End Dubs. Now, as the New Year kicks off, the Liverpool-based DJ/producer returns to Jones’ imprint with his first solo release on the label, ‘Sonic System’, featuring three dynamic groovers that highlight the EP’s hip-house influence.
