Seattle based KLIPPEE cleverly intertwines headbanger culture with DnB groove on the immense ‘Reset’. The rhythm and textures are reminiscent of an addictive halftime slammer run at higher tempo. The syncopation during the buildup is hypnotic, intermittent by a cinematic dun dun dun before the alluring vocal sample sets up the explosive drop.

The  Compound series continues its commitment to discover and showcase the most exciting new d&b producers in the scene today with the arrival of volume two. Tweaking the freedom of the digital platform slightly from the first instalment to allow us to focus on 3 new artists and explore differing aspects of their productions.

Flipping the script on Disprove's style - the 2nd track collaborating with Signal, a very promising NL based 16 year old producer who's sure to grab people's attention over the coming months, Arkaik Twelve is a straight master class in sound design. A baron alien soundscape punctuated with cavernous bass groans and relentless, intricate drum edits that will leave you dazed and confused. If you were a fan of Disprove's collab with Maztek: Bad Body you’re going to love this one.

This song was inspired by a gig I went to in Melbourne called the DOT (hence the name!). I'm always so inspired by live shows and other artists - actively involving yourself in other people's music and allowing yourself to be influenced by it is such a big part of being an artist and I'm so grateful that there is such a thriving underground scene here in Australia. I always come back from shows feeling super buzzed and eager to make new music.

An up and coming producer/DJ in the Australian bass music scene, WYN has been playing hard-hitting and genre diverse sets at major venues almost every weekend since the launch of her project in mid-2016. Her short career so far has already seen her play shows alongside some of the biggest names in underground bass music worldwide, securing slots on Australian festivals such as Listen Out, Origin Fields and Breakfest. 

Inspired by the likes of Clams Casino, FKA Twigs, and Sevdaliza from the hip hop and alt-music realms, as well as bass music artists such as Ivy Lab, Alix Perez and Mr Carmack, WYN's production style spans across a wide range of genres, with a focus on drum & bass, halftime and alternative hip hop. With several heavier drum and bass releases under her belt, such as ‘A Meeting’ and ‘DOT’, as well as other soul-infused tracks that feature her own vocals, WYN is establishing herself as a unique name in Australian club music. WYN’s tracks have been played on BBC Radio One, and she recently featured on Triple J’s Mix Up DJ series, which she followed with a series of single releases such as ‘Ganges’ - part of a compilation album from the Perth Halftime collective known as ‘New Forms’, a record label and events crew that she runs with friends.
