CELEBRATING 50 EPISODES - we're excited to release episode 50 of LGCY FM presented by San Jose's @lee_mix with 30+ minutes of blending together the sounds of trap, melodic dubstep and future bass. 

"Hi! :) My name is Kyle and I DJ by my last name "Lee". I'm from San Jose, CA, and I love high energy trap music as much as I love emotional melodic bass music.  I hosted my own livestream festival series called "Shelter 'n Bass" during quarantine, and I've been lucky enough to make some amazing friends in the DJ community that inspire me to keep creating! It's an honor to appear on LGCY FM along side so many people I look up to!

I wanted to create a mix that captured my taste in music and displayed the sound and energy that I put into my mixes. This mix showcases a journey through confident hard hitting trap, dynamic melodic dubstep, and sentimental future bass music. I wanted to make a mix that shows you should be proud of how you got here, while looking forward to what you'll become :)

Hey everyone! We're super excited to launch guest mixes - every single week on Mondays. LGCY.FM features our DJ and Producer friends from around the world with an emphasis highlighting different sounds and genres throughout the year.

The fifth episode of LGCY FM features @embracepastel’s very own, @barrrl. He showcases his DJing capabilities with a guest mix packed with bass, DNB and house. 

As a city that gets overlooked, barl. embraces his city appreciating the diverse culture and ethnicities that Sacramento has to offer. Clasping onto city's diversity lead him to discovering electronic dance music paving the path to becoming a DJ. Gaining some familiarity with electronic dance music allowed him to be influenced by artists like RL Grime, Knock2, Habstrakt, and Malaa. Away from music, barl. takes pride in being a true Sacramento Kings fan tuning into every game when possible. When there isn't a Kings game to watch, you'll find him indulging in food at any savory restaurant.  

“For this mix I tried to emphasize that I am capable of creating something outside of my comfort zone. Taking some time away from music really helped me achieve that as I include some of my favorite songs, and some personal mash-ups/edits. The inspiration behind this mix comes from artists like, RL Grime, Montell2099, Kompany Joyryde, and Wax Motif.”
