Sans ailes

Shinto blues telling the story of Miyamoto Musashi (famous 16th-17th century japanese swordsman and rōnin) mixed with some of my own passed adventures and Takuan vision of life.
The title evoques the last chinese character 夢( dream or "rêve" in french) painted at the moment before his death by Rizai zen master Takuan Sōhō. Rêve is also the title of my album.

XO. Si tu m'entends (If you hear me)  is a ragtime song composed in Canada few years ago. It was during a cold winter's twilight in a street of Montreal. It started to snow when I saw an old man sitting alone at the window of a retirement home. while the humanity of his gaze poured into mine I had no trouble imagining his life and feelings. Ragtime imposed itself naturally to dress with notes and harmonies such flood of emotions.
