John Monkman makes his debut on Noir Music and this guy has been on my radar for quite some time now due to releases on Kompakt, Crosstown Rebels and Get Physical. I got the Trusting Source track about 6 months ago and basically signed it after one listen. Since then both John and I have been road- testing, talking about the track and John has been adjusting the track to dancefloor perfection. In the process of it all I suggested John that he made a 2-tracker instead of a single release of Trusting Source. He knocked me off my feet with first listen of Lacquer which is another genius piece of music from the London-based producer.Both tracks are super groovy. Trusting Souce being the classic and timeless effort and Lacquer the more experimental and forward thinking piece.Hit play and check out this fantastic double a-side release.

Another free treat from us, this time we have a deep and groovy track from a LA based UK born and bred dj/producer Jamie Charles. Jamie's sound is deep and thick and not boxed in by any particular genre. Both original tracks on his debut Counter Culture EP charted under the Draft label, climbing the Beatport Minimal Charts. 

He continues to explore the endless possibilities of music production in the studio, with a continued drive and passion stemming from an early obsession of underground music growing up as a kid in England. Frequenting the LA underground music scene and beyond, Jamie continues to twist and shape around an ever evolving music scene with a versatile sound to offer interested ears.
