Fijian DJ/Producer Christonite Boginikua proudly presents a single from his debut 4-track EP, featuring the standout Afro-Pacific House track CIRI pronounced THEE-REE, meaning “to float” in the Fijian Language.

CIRI was born from a deep connection to the Pacific and its culture. The song blends Afro-house beats with traditional chants, capturing the spirit of resilience as voyagers on a Drua canoe. 

A Self-produced debut EP, the process was personal and transformative, with each sound symbolizing faith and hope, aiming to inspire and uplift listeners as they navigate their own journeys in life.

The Chant itself calls on the “Mana” or Spirit to motivate and overcome as our ancestors did in ancient times, and features the traditional Fijian Lali or Log Drum, carved from dense wood, and the Davui or Conch Shell.

Christonite's musical journey spans from the suburbs of Suva, Fiji, to the vibrant streets of Osaka, Japan, and beyond. Growing up immersed in the rich tapestry of Country, Soul, and Reggae, he developed a deep love for music that transcends borders. As he traveled the world, from the bustling scenes of Miami and Los Angeles to the laid-back vibes of South America and the Pacific, he soaked in the diverse sounds and rhythms of each culture he encountered.

Inspired by his experiences, Christonite's DJ sets are a reflection of this eclectic musical upbringing. Infused with groovy basslines, pacific percussion, and transcendent vocals, his music exudes a feel-good energy that resonates with audiences worldwide. Whether he's spinning tracks in a famous venue in Osaka or sharing his beats in California, Christonite's passion for music is infectious.

Now calling California home, Christonite is on a mission to spread the joy of music and culture to every corner of the globe. Through his sets, he seeks to build connections, unite communities, and celebrate the universal language of rhythm and melody.
