It was an absolute joy to play the Synergy Festival in Tasmania, Australia this Easter break. I was lucky enough to play multiple sets, this one in particular being the sunrise set on the final day. Nokturnal's sound covers a very wide range of genres but his true passion is for music that draws you in deep and relentlessly moves you forward. A complex flirtation between the dark and the light is a common theme in his sets, the purposeful layering of gorgeous haunting vocals over blistering psy-tech is where you find him lost in his art.

For over a decade Nokturnal represented the Zenon label where he oversaw the Sea of Vapours project which was voted the #2 progressive psytrance compilation / DJ mix of the year on Isratrance. A few years later his DJ mix Zenonesque charted at #3 on Beatport from over 3500 mixes.

Travelling the world to perform at and take part in the global music community, while sharing the stage with artists he has loved and respected forever and a day, has been a profound honour. Currently a DJ for Weapon Records, Nokturnal is THRILLED to now be sharing his passion for top-tier music by joining the Techgnosis crew! Rumour has it Ben Rama may have been inspired by Nokturnal at some point (only he knows that for sure) but one thing is for certain today, the shoe is absolutely and gratefully on the other foot!!

Here it is folks, my set from Fozzy Fest last summer at the Shipwrecked Stage. This was the latest set I played all summer at 2am so I had to bring the heat. Check out this new and exclusive mix, presenting the recent FLEMBAZ sound, containing few unreleased tunes as well.

Flembaz are a Portuguese electronic music duo from Portugal composed of João Bandarra and Pedro Artur.
Their primary focus is to release danceable electronic music with organic and progressive influences, and have been doing so since 2011. With four full-length albums, eight EPs and numerous singles released, they stand as one of the most prolific electronic music duos around the scene.

The duo played music around Europe in festivals such as Boom Festival, Chillout Planet, and Green Vibrations. They have released mostly under their label Blind Arc, but also in other respected labels of the genre such as Traum Schallplatten, Horns and Hoofs Entertainment, Techgnosis Records, Bonzai and Digital Diamonds.

Together they showcase a full live act of original material for the day and night, the club and festival.

Ki Sa Na - Live dj set @ Tenebris Orientem - 12.12.20

This is the recording of a 2.5 hour set that I began playing shortly after the clock struck midnight on December 31st, 2020, and we all got to say good bye (and good riddance!) to the worst year of the 21st century. It was recorded at the music studio we have in the back yard of my home in Los Angeles, where my housemates and I celebrated the start of 2021 with about 10 close friends, dancing the night away. 

Here's to a better year for all my friends, family, and my fellow music listeners, lovers, and dancers.  Thankfully, I'm pretty positive it will be a better year, mainly due to the fact that tomorrow we finally get to say goodbye to the worst president in the history of the USA. After that, we can hopefully begin working to heal the damage he and his corrupt administration caused to this country, and the world. 

Happy 2021, everyone! And fuck you, Covid-19 and 2020!
