Nervous Horizon is very proud to present TSVI’s debut album: ‘Inner Worlds’.

The album is about reconnecting to one’s true self and the discovery of the inner worlds: it is born from an ongoing artistic journey, which began in TSVI’s childhood.

The artist grew up with parents who practise Hinduism, which is quite unusual for an Italian family. In most recent times he was hugely inspired by his partner’s religious and musical background, after she exposed him to Middle Eastern music and Sufi ideologies. TSVI started creating tracks that were influenced by bellydance percussionists such as Emad Sayyah and Hossam Ramzy, combined with Dancehall, Tarraxo and Trance.

The album is largely influenced by the role of music in transcendental Sufi practices and resembles an inner journey through different states of meditation and self-discovery.

Vedic and Tantric knowledge are also important here. Each track is a state of mind from the opening one, ‘Root’, to the last one, ’Crown’, as they represent the first and last 
Chakras and all the other states found in-between.

Get ready to embark on a journey through mind, body and soul.

Following a string of club heaters on Mixpak and Fractal Fantasy (plus a collaboration with Akito on Tight Knit that arrived earlier this year), Famous Eno has been making all the right moves with his bright, soundsystem-purposed sounds. Now stepping out on Swing Ting for an EP after having dropped 'Gangsters' and 'Jaws' on the label, his six-tracked ‘Music For Clubs’ EP (no doubt a nod to the big man Brian) sees him tapping a dream selection of collaborators including Jersey club icon Uniiqu3, Killa P, Sinjin Hawke & Zora Jones, and others. ‘Money Collector’ is a hook-up with cult Accra rapper Bryte (who recently released his excellent debut album ‘Too Good For Your Liking’), and its bold drum sequences bounce out over see-sawing synths. Akito is the nodal point of east London’s club scene, the link through which many friend- ships and collaborations have been patterned. It makes sense, then, that his debut album Gone Again hits so many familiar vibes and moods for any listener plugged into London’s outsider party cycle.

The tracks move from grimey saw waves to floating mesospheres, from broken 2-step rhythms into hard percussion and dancehall, without ever feeling misplaced or forced, a perfect representation of a living interaction of influences. Spirals and sequences, escalating dizzily upwards and brutally crashing back down on Tuesday: Gone Again is an incredibly honest statement.

A catalogue of experiences and intensities is carved into these tracks. It’s a story of staving off the comedown and stopping by the 24 hour off-licence on the way to the next place, rolling over into day two, wondering if it’s too late to ever reset the imbalance of a few years of extremes. But it also holds out the mad thrill of being able to reach and sustain those levels, of making it to the next city for another night, or cloud-watching on a long-haul plane deeply enough to forget that the escape is only going to be short-lived.

Every time a moment of angst is released into the album, whether through a distorted, punishing tom or an unsettled, homeless melody, a burst of optimism recuperates it. Whenever you think you might have given a bit too much away, or you get hit by a paranoid fear that you’ve been misunderstood in a new place or relationship, another synth-line breathes some energy back into you. A fresh connection, another friendly face, more nights on the carry-on. Back soon but always Gone Again.
