There's a singular and extraordinary place that can be found on a dance floor. Deep in the bowels of a warehouse, surrounded by clashing scents, sights and experiences you can close your eyes, let go and, as cliche as it might sound, lose yourself. Guiding us to that special place this week is Wade Coles (@alexander-coles.)

Like a grey dawn peeking over a well used soundsystem or morning dew settling on arrays of cyclone fencing, Shell Tape 26 coats hard, fast and hedonistic sounds in an envelope of emotion. Sliced up breaks cut through mental fogginess, rave stabs do away with any insecurities and kick drums that reverberate through the solar plexus are cushioned by bitter sweet synth pads and sparkles, elevating what would already be a great time to an unreal one.

This tape showcases everything that makes raving feel so special - the ups, downs, ins and outs of being transported to a futuristic otherworld that still manages to make perfect sense despite its intangible nature. Fond memories flood in, empathy floods out and the dancer inside is released as we follow Wade Coles down this expertly designed sonic rabbit hole. Come with the tunes, close two eyes and let a third one open. Yosh!
