Born in the city of gold (Johannesburg), XABISO first dipped his toe into the ocean of electronic music at age 14. His initial love was trance music - until he discovered John Digweed and progressive house. From this moment forward, his musical taste moved into a new direction.

XABISO, first began DJing in 2009, initially keeping it as a hobby. It wasn’t long before his passion for the art took over - and in 2012 he decided to embark on a music production course at Point Blank Music School.

As with all true artists, XABISO’s journey comes with a story of struggle. He initially met with resistance when attempting to get gigs because, at the time, his style of music was not appreciated. But his perseverance and commitment paid off - and now things have taken a positive turn. he is now able to express his style passionately and gracefully - whilst keeping the dance floor moving. 
XABISO is a DJ who has built a reputation based on his dedication, passion - and his impeccable track selection. As he says: “I believe that a DJ’s greatest asset is their taste: From there it is about figuring out the best way to express it to any crowd.” 

His style is an intoxicating blend of progressive house and techno. The influence of John Digweed and Hernan Cattaneo can be heard in his sound - yet it is distinctly ‘XABISO’. He has had the privilege of supporting local acts around his city and has played at local underground events.

XABISO’s dedication and commitment recently caused him to seek out a mentor. Having followed the career of Liz Cirelli since its inception - and considering her an amazing and talented artist, he reached out to her. Within the field of music, Liz’s clients and projects have included work with EMI Production Music, 20th Century Fox, Nokia, Diesel, Bose, SKY TV, L’Oreal, and directors Julian Schnabel and Stuart Birchall. She also has releases under Natura Sonoris, Manual Music, and Mirabilis Records to name a few.

Under Liz’s guidance, Xabiso has noticed a vast improvement in his artistic skills and he is currently working on his first EP that is due for release later this year. His goal is clear: To keep on pushing his sound and refine his skills as a DJ and producer.
