  Φ is the alias of Chris Foti, a techno DJ who has been an integral member of the local rave and club scene since the early 2000's. While originally only a dancer and a follower of the scene, Φ quietly started collecting music and practicing his DJ sets with some limited equipment at home. 
  Whilst always remaining dynamic and continuously encapsulating new triggers, Φ remains firmly rooted in techno. His sound is smoky and atmospheric and usually falls under the ambient techno subcategory. Though he often likes to mix in the reverberated sounds of dub techno and even some minimal influences.

During his years of experiencing local and international parties and events, Alekkos has been collecting his hearing thoughts and expressing them through DJing. 
Although he is relatively new behind the decks, Alekkos has been an active supporting member of the underground movement in Cyprus for years now, and has been gradually carving his course throughout it. 
Minimal, Deep Minimal Techno are the categories which best express his music style, especially by incorporating deep, dark minimal kicks with hypnotic and spacey atmospheric elements into his sets.

Charkoal - Rooftop Set

Georges D' Andre is a house DJ from Cyprus.  Over the last five years he got to play at some of the most important clubs, bars and festivals for dance music on the island including klubd, S//ip, Square and Sousami Bar where he became a regular.  He is one half of the Whizzy Wigs crew and party night which aims to organise events with some very special Djs and artists from abroad.

After many months into this dry spell for gigs he was thankful to have been asked to record this podcast for XaΒρα zine as it gave him the opportunity to showcase some of the more recent additions to his record collection as well as  a few all-time favourites.

The lovely painting on the cover art is the work of the hugely talented Elpida Matsentidou.
