ANARS ! Perdre mon temps

Disquiet Junto 0663 was an invitation to compose music to accompany a spinning-platter hard drive. 

I thought I would miss this one, as I was traveling abroad these past two weeks without any gear, not even a pair of decent headphones. But inspiration struck at the kitchen table in a rented flat in Manchester UK and there was no ignoring the impulse. This piece was recorded off the tempo grid, the notes were painted in a piano roll, and the automation was done with a trackpad. A very different creation experience and set of constraints for me! 

I like a little percussion with my drones, so I used the new stem splitter feature in Logic Pro to extract a few isolated samples of the hard drive chitter to establish a rhythmic foundation.

You will experience the song differently played through computer speakers vs headphones, and I can't say which way is the right way.

Canciones, ritmos, sonidos, olores, colores, lugares, sensaciones y hasta sentimientos. Luces, sabores, sombras...o temas, o historias, con su ritmo, sonando a su manera, consiguen que XACRAACE cierre sus ojos. Y entonces; ocurre. Ya nada existe. Me encanta como se mueve "el/ella/eso/ese/esa..." en la pista; sin miedo, por mis venas, por mis neuronas, por mis adentros. Y lx siento, y lx huelo, y lx escucho. Cruce de miradas. Si el paso aprieta; es el momento. Casi sin tocarlx, a su ritmo, me permite bailar a su lado. Nada de palabras. El ritmo y la música, aderezados con la química que surja, se encargarán del resto. 

Aquí traigo los minutos iniciales de esta creación/sets que nombro: "Viviendo para Romper el Guión" . Es un claro ejemplo de lo que me ocurre cuando cierro los ojos y quiero bailar a su lado. En esta ocasión, con la historia de HANTE: "Living in a French Movie".

XACRAACE quiere hablar!! Transmitir!! Que se escuche lo que corre por sus venas!! Y bailar!! Y no dejar de bailar, en la pista, al lado de lxs que saben, que CON LOS OJOS CERRADOS, TODO SE VE MEJOR.
