The Frikstailers mixtapes are known for their ability to cram in a bunch of tunes, take you on an extraterrestrial cumbia driven voyage and for inevitably getting the party started.  In this new edition, celebrating the arrival of their Crop Circles EP, they shine some light on crop of new producers they’re digging alongside some of their most recent tracks as well.  A 37 minute tropical odyssey with deep melodies that evolves into pure dance. 

Los mixtapes de los Frikstailers ya son conocidos por su cualidad de ser compactos y divertidos. En esta nueva entrega, y festejando el lanzamiento de su flamante "Crop Circles EP" junto con su nuevo videoclip, el dúo argentino saca a la luz una buena canitdad de tracks de productores que merecen tener un poco más de exposición y las entremezclan con sus más recientes temas. Una odisea tropical de 37 minutos que comienza con melodías profundas y termina con puro baile.

WONDER WHERE WE LAND (LIVE at BBC 6 MUSIC 10/12/14)

Taken from "Ask the deep" the new album from Sóley. Coming May 8th 2015

Referring to the silence that returns when last year’s “Krómantík” EP fades out, Sóley said, “… your closed eyes slowly start seeing something much deeper and darker,” and now that something is here, it’s right in front of us: “Ask The Deep” is a stunningly dark and deeply personal departure after the minimalist and bleak piano compositions of said EP: Relying on guts, ghost ships, and a sonic map that doesn’t show the same piano coordinates as before, her soft-sounding voice leads us deeper and deeper into the shadowy fairytale worlds only hinted at on previous releases such as her “Theater Island” EP and 2011’s much-praised “We Sink” debut album. Changing tactics to fight her inner demon with every track, “Ask The Deep” sees the bespectacled songwriter open Pandora’s box – and close it eventually. At least for now.
