Episode 15: Bursting Your Fire

The villain of Doctor Strange, Kaecilius, played by Mads Mikkelsen, has been largely a mystery. You may have caught a glimpse of him in a literal frame or two of the first trailer, but much like his Rogue One character, Mikkelsen has been kept under wraps. Marvel Comics released the first half of a Doctor Strange official prequel comic, taking place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it was chock-full of reveals, not the least of which was a good look at Kaecilius, as much of the issue centered around the character. 

The CW Network announced it will broadcast the entire first season of Supergirl on Monday nights beginning August 1. The network will air two episodes each week until Supergirl Season 2 premieres on Oct. 10. The show is making its way over to The CW from parent network CBS, where Supergirl’s first season originally aired.

Marvel Comics has announced the relaunch of Invincible Iron Man, one of the flagship series of the All-New Marvel era, as part of Marvel NOW! In the wake of Civil War II, Tony Stark is no longer Iron Man. Stepping into those big, metal shoes is Riri Williams, a 15-year-old black girl (referred to as a "woman" in Time's reveal) who was introduced in the current Invincible Iron Man series.

Original host Marc Summers is set to return for a one-night, live edition of the show at San Diego Comic-Con on July 22 to honor the 30th anniversary of "Double Dare," Entertainment Weekly reported.

Could we be seeing Squirrel Girl coming to the Marvel MCU? Maybe, if Anna Kendrick, has anything to say about it. In a recent interview with Net A Porter, when asked if she could ever see herself playing a superhero, Kendrick replied that she has considered slipping on the furry, brown spandex of the one and only Squirrel Girl. “My brother sent me a Squirrel Girl comic because he thinks I should,” Kendrick said in the interview, “I don’t know what Squirrel Girl does other than be half-squirrel, but I could be half-squirrel!”
