When I write one take lyrics and melodies.

Some people have been asking me lately about my writing process, so I thought I'd share my insider information. I generally like to wait until something hits me and/or I feel inspired and power through the creative process before worrying about perfection or mixing, which is readily apparent here..but I feel what it lacks in polish is made up in authenticity. Most sounds I choose (usually 80s..🙄) I select to capture the depth of what I feel inside and wait until later to fine tune.

Most of my songs don't take me long to get the structure, I get into what I feel is a very meditative process, removing the analytical mind, hopefully channeling something beyond me, higher than me, but also something that is simultaneously a part me.

A sample from something I was inspired to write tonight after the absolute magic of the universe decided to find me. The best way to celebrate the amazing 32 years of my life in this breathtaking existence. I only hope this partial reflection of it's beauty can do it some justice.

Cheeseball lyrics? Ya, probably, but they make me smile and I'm pretty sure that is worth something.
