This time of year always feels tough for me. Even when good things are happening, do you ever get that weird feeling that something is wrong? Nobody talks about how you can have all these confusing thoughts in your head and want to open up about them, but no matter what, you just can’t find the right words to express them. The frustration of feeling misunderstood, not just by others, but by yourself. Feeling like you need a break from people needing you because you need you... All of the feels, not enough space.

This year I’ve learned that sometimes when things don’t happen the way we want them to, it’s just life’s way of redirecting us towards something even more aligned. I’m grateful for all of life’s lessons and experiences that have helped me trust and love myself more, even in June.  Sending love to everyone feeling things they can’t put into words and love to the friends and family who are patient with them. We are in this together.

We Are Alive! (Playlist 25)

A new style of conjunto brought to you by a new Conjunto, with Veteran, Tejano and Conjunto musicians. Leading the Conjunto is Xavier XMAN Trejo who has been with and has recorded with many of Tejano Genre's best artist and musicians. Picking up the accordion at a young age of 8yrs old, he begged his dad to let him learn to play the accordion. His father had bought a one an accordion in a Lumber Store, Guadalupe Lumber for you westsiders in SA. The Xman saw that gadget and started asking all sorts of questions about it his father only knowing one polka had too put the XMAN in the Guadalupe Culture Arts Center program for young kids who want to learn accordion. While in the program XMAN studied with Henry Zimmerle also with the master Valerio Longoria, lastly his last teacher in that program was El Chief Santiago Jimenez Jr. 

With all that knowledge he still studied with one more great Mr. Sandy Sanchez, with Sandy he learned how to put it all together. 

XMan joined his first professional group at the age of 11 with the CITY BOYZ of David Escalante, moving on he joined the great ESMERALDA Jaime and was in her band, after she decided to retire XMan bounced around with several local groups and then the oppurtunity to join Oscar G Y Grupo Sol arrived and the rest is history,

Conjunto Noventa is a new powerhouse conjunto out of San Antonio, TX.
The Group all started with a dream for its leader Xavier Trejo better known as the XMAN.
Although Xavier is already known in the TEX-MEX industry, he has always wanted to start his own conjunto.
His reputation has earned him what many call "The best of the best" when it comes to Tejano accordion playing.
Developing a one of a kind style, Xavier  has contributed to the success of many groups including Texas Latino and the legendary Eddie Gonzalez.
Although he also found success with these talented groups, Xavier felt that it was his time to bring out his own unique style of accordion.
