I wrote this for the SISTA STRUT walk in 2013. I think it is important to bring awareness to this issue in our community of black women on a continual basis. I wrote this to inspire those who have lost loved ones as well as though who are living with this disease. Together, we can find the cure and I hope my poetry is an inspiring start.
