Rose Ringed is back with a new EP on his imprint: Closed Eyes Recordings. A Modern Prayer tells the story about modern society's current belief. Namely, the belief in self. The amount of people believing in an external god is slowly turning into the belief of some sort of internal god: oneself. Our lives are becoming increasingly individualistic, which results in an increased amount of modern psychologic diseases like burn-outs depressions. There doesn’t seem much room for feelings. People get rewarded for showing their wealth and portray an external image that doesn’t show their internal conflicts – conflicts we all have. This EP tells the story of a modern prayer of the current younger generation.

Hope For A Better Future
Hope For A Better Future captures the belief of changing one's life by the need for reaching certain goals in life; always hoping for things to happen in the belief that such would make one happy. The inability of acceptance of the current self creates a never-ending tension for a better life, resulting in an unhappy state of mind.

Becoming
Becoming captures the journey one is taking to becoming the desired version of oneself. Society has created the idea that people are made for some kind of profession, while, in truth, your personality and interest areas are just as fluid as your own believes. Yet people start to chase an empty idea of a future in which they can only be happy when they reach their goals. It's like someone chasing his own tail: a never-ending loophole of becoming the desired self.

And Then Everything Changed
And Then Everything Changed is about the unexpected changes in life. The track shows, in contradiction to the others, how one actually ends up in an entirely different place. It emphasizes that life is rather fluid than solid. A belief in the solely individual mindset is proven to be wrong, lonely, and devastating in the end.

Techno statesmen Dubfire and Oliver Huntemann reunite to continue their Elements series with the fifth and final part of the quintuplet - Amor. Beginning back in 2010 with the 1st element Fuego, the series ran until 2014 with a seminal string of genre-defining releases - Terra, Aire and Agua. This release presents three different versions of the track. Amor (Devoción Mix) is tough and tight, but with a spacey and expansive atmosphere. Amor (Pasión Mix) leans towards a more stripped down, jacking aesthetic, with layers of dubbed out vocal snippets and tricky drum programming. Amor (Rechazo Mix) is a lean, muscular techno workout, with some melodic flourishes that suggest a middle eastern influence - adding new dynamics to the track.

ME & Her is German born artist Jennifer Swirta aka YENI and is a regular on the global circuit who has played across Europe, South Africa, India and the United States. She is a strong willed character who does things her own way. With this alias she focuses on sophisticated techno.

Heroes is a deep rolling tune with a captivating groove that is overlaid with spine tingling vocals. They bring an emo edge to the late night atmospheres as wispy pads add future further details. Heroes (NØREQUEST Remix) is then more turbulent and dark, with frosted textures and menacing bass all building the pressure. Heroes (Abstraal Remix) closes out with a more layered, percussive sound that is moody and perfect for the back rooms.

It was only back then when Xenia Beliayeva finally kickstarted her career as a club DJ at the opening night of Karlsruhes Centre For Art and Media Technology (ZKM). Opening a night that featured the french Techno pioneer Laurent Garnier and electronic music legends Kraftwerk live on stage after only a few years being around DJ'ing at art events and similar occasions.

Many things have happened since these early days, when she was freelancing for labels like Playhouse, Klang Elektronik or Mute Records and working for the highly acclaimed Ladomat for many of years where she took care of various business issues including the A&R department. Not to forget managing her own label Lone Records in conjunction with Formic Distribution and the Ladomat 2000-offspring Danced Records which is another part of Xenia Beliayeva's journey.

All these things have taken her from the art / exhibition circuits to clubs, raves and festivals allover the world. Continously evolving to the fully established, highly appreciated and award-winning DJ / vocalist Xenia Beliayeva is now, solo and in several collaborational projects that she's taken part in throughout the years.

With 12“ releases under her belt put on the circuit via imprints like Datapunk, Different, Systematic Recordings and others plus a full-length album debut („Ever Since“) on Shitkatapult there's no wondering why Xenia Beliayeva has been caught collecting miles and miles, traveling to places like Spain, France, Italy or paving her way to faraway countries like Ukraine, Australia, Russia or Brazil where she built a firm, enthusiastic fan base and, in the Brazilian district of Mato Grosso, won the Factoide Award for the Best Live Performance two times in a row.

And live means live as Xenia Beliayeva has more to offer than just playing records. Her performance range has evolved from the regular DJ-set to DJ-/live amalgamations in which the Moscow-born artist is voicing special edits of her own productions and now reached the stage of full on live concerts, fronting the stage with a unique vocalist style and pure presence whilst her long-time partner André Winter is taking care of technical aspects.

This ability as such has once again increased the number of fans and followers attending XenBel shows allover the place and tuning in to her Radio Xenbel show which is broadcasted on several stations and in various cities she's playing, giving her an extra slot of air time plus a new and quite innovative way to interact directly with her ever-growing fanbase. And reactions show, that they do feel the meaning of each song even though they might not get the words as hit-singles like „Momentan“ or the more recent „Dumpfe Träume“ are performed and broadcasted worldwide in their orginal form - with lyrics sung in German.

This surely is another important point that singles out Xenia Beliayeva's position as „artiste extraordinaire“. She is a multi-lingual butterfly serving special flavours amongst mostly instrumental or at least monolingual competitors. Plus: her devotees are not only hailing from electronic club land but feeling at home in the darker, kind of Goth-flavored areas as well as in Synth- and Non-Mainstream Pop. Areas Xenia Beliayeva is not afraid of to explore as not only her videos but also different remix works, e.g. for the Techno vs. EBM-flavored Nitzer/McCarthy project, do prove.
