Thanks goes to Laura Intravia for the wonderful flute performances done under very short notice. In fact, this whole track was done under short notice. In the space of just over two days, I spent over thirty hours on this track. So yep, basically non-stop work to get this done. I was disappointed that the aforementioned expansion album didn't have any Mario Galaxy music, and always wanted to arrange some of its music, so I decided to take on the crazy task of finishing this track in a couple of days. Didn't get much sleep, but it was WORTH IT.
I tried experimenting a little for this. It's basically an orchestral/chiptune mashup, with mostly orchestral supported by chiptune accompaniment/drums. Look forward to an entirely chiptune section later on though... it's my first time doing chiptune so I hope it's alright. This uses East/West Symphonic Orchestra Silver, Hollywood Brass Gold, Hollywood Strings Gold, Stormdrum 2, Omnisphere, Versilian Studios Marimba, mda ePiano, BiT BOX, Bleep, Magical 8-Bit, Sytrus, 3xOsc, and Vengeance. Also, those aren't the original Mario sound effects you're hearing in the background at some points. They're my own; hope I got them to sound like the real thing!
I worked very hard on this and consider it one of my best tracks to date. I hope you agree! Thanks for listening and comments would be much appreciated!

Hunh...this one took a while, and I still couldn't get it to sound like what I knew it should sound like in my head.  If I ever go back and redo my old tracks after I get more skill, this will definitely be one to come back to.  Still, it turned out well enough for me to put up here.

Paper Mario is one of my favorite games of all time; it's definitely in my top 10!  I've played through Paper Mario more than any other RPG, and I still love the charm and humor every time through.  The Tubba Blubba chapter was always one of my favorites (second only to the next one, the Toy Box chapter), and he's definitely got the coolest boss theme in the game. 

 I tried to give his theme a new sad intensity, and that...kind of worked out. The original song relied very heavily on drums, which I try to keep to a low level in most of my arrangements, and that's why I think I had so much trouble arranging this.  Also, I couldn't get the violins to sound right no matter how much I tweaked them. But I think the chorus turned out super-well, which is great, because that's half the song!

I was pleased to reprise my role as creator of the music for the second season of MAMMUT, the norwegian web-based crime-tale that can be watched here: https://www.glomdalen.no/mammut2---se-alle-episodene

The music included in this track, as well as a few more minutes included only in the actual web series, was made in approx. 5-6 days. I used samples from two free libraries, as well as some stuff included with Logic Pro 9, which was the software I used. Feel free to ask questions you might have.
