One hot night in Coconut Grove FLA, Buzzy Linhart was playing with John Tennis on guitar - word got out and his Friend & mentor Fred Neil showed up and sat in for the last set. Fred's Friend Kim Deegan recorded it, but lost track of the tape only to find he had recorded over most of it - this is all that remains of the very last time Fred Neil performed in public.

In the late 1990s Buzzy Linhart began a rich collaboration and Friendship with K-OS, dubbed "the original P-Funk mixmaster" by George Clinton himself. The two were introduced by mutual Friend Muruga, aka Steven Booker, aka Bookevich, with so many credits it is not worth listing them for fear of leaving out the one you personally love. This trio of Muruga-Buzzy-K-OS generated dozens of hours of trance-like improv jams with numerous other guests both live and in studio overdub sessions. Their original intent was to create and submit some tracks for consideration to soundtrack for "Pet Detective 2." The general approach was a deep groove, jungle sounds,  and/or audio clips from the first movie. However, at one session, they learned Jerry Garcia had passed away just and they began exploring other threads in the music and Bay Area music scene and never did submit any tracks for consideration.

Xeno Publishing Inc. was an early publishing company of Buzzy Linhart for registering copyright and controlling his original compositions in the mid 1960s. That entity, name and catalog was folded into BuzzArt Publishing Inc. in 1993. This SoundCloud project will feature Buzzy Linhart, live stuff, alternate takes, interviews, or maybe even stranger.
