Because of the peculiar LV-909 location, time passed very slowly for its inhabitants: just hundreds of years for them, while millions for the rest of the universe. The planet got forgotten: it was as hidden because whoever reached it, would not return to the same world he had departed from, as too many more years would have passed by in the rest of the universe meanwhile.

Now there is a real menace, as somebody does remember about this last free planet: it’ s the mysterious Technopope, leader of the Fundamentalist Robots Army. They want to dominate the galaxy and enslave planet by planet, turning the natives into machines to be exploited as a workforce. And they just decided they want to enslave the full planet LV-909 to suffocate any possible resistance: as they are robots, time has no meaning for them.

The Planet is soon invaded by the Fundamentalist Robots Army leaded by the Technopope, but on LV-909 they find bread for their teeth: a society that does not submit to the slavery of either religion or laws and work.
Natives start eventually remembering their history and uncovering the deepest secrets of the artificial planet.

A resistance soon develops which first reacts with small revolts and sabotages, then with a planetary revolution that drives out the invaders.
Finally they discover the planet could be used as a gigantic spaceship: they decide to bring the riots at galactic scale to destroy once for all the Fundamentalist Robots Army and the Technopope…
