The roots symbolize the valley that is the underworld Xibalba (inframundo).Underworld is where the souls to a period of purification. Where they should support also tests imposed by the Gods who live there.
Beings who have left this earth plane as innocent victims go straight to the side of the supreme gods.
Yaxche personifies the rotation center of the cosmos, is The Tree of Life.
