Something shifted in the City after Transmission 010.
Something deep.
Something old.
Like the foundations remembered a truth they had been trying to forget.

The warning in Hebrews became a living presence.
A pressure.
A weight that followed Daniel through every alley and neon corridor of Redemption City.

Every transmission before this was revelation.
But this one…
this was reckoning.

The High Priest had spoken.
Not in condemnation.
But in clarity.

Grow now.
Or be consumed.

The words clung to Daniel’s ribs like burning coals.

For the first time, the Scribe felt the cost of refusing maturity.
Not as doctrine.
Not as metaphor.
But as a real fire licking at the edges of his soul.

The City responded in kind.
Fields that once bloomed beneath artificial skylight began to wither.
Digital rain patterns fractured.
Old temples flickered in and out of phase, as if ashamed to be seen.

And some people—
the ones who had heard the transmissions in the quiet
but never changed—
found themselves standing at thresholds they did not recognize.
Where everything familiar had turned to ash.

Daniel realized the truth:
Milk was no longer enough to keep anyone alive.
Not here.
Not now.
Not in a world where the fire of God had begun to leak through the cracks.

He walked through Redemption City with a new fear
not of judgment
but of wasting the grace he had been given.

And the mask on his face…
for the first time
felt heavier.

Because the Scribe understood something terrible and holy:

If he refused to grow, the fire that purified others would destroy him.
