Having released the popular ‘Voces’ on Earthly Tapes 03, DJ Raff is back on Earthly Measures for his first full EP on the label – expect Afro - Latin Tropical rhythms with a sprinkle of Acid throughout!

"Aquí Voy" is a collage of samples made up to create a tropical atmosphere with a constant bed of wiggly sub-basses that serve as the basis for the dissonant melodies of the Berimbau, the main instrumental within the track.

The title track 'Crudo' is a cross between Acid House and Percussive Afro-Latin rhythms. The track begins slowly with a rain of chants and percussions that give way to a storm of heavy kicks and a constant distorted 303, rounded off by soft Marimba melodies. Peak dance-floor vibes.

The Lo-fi Nostalgia Por Un Sample puts together samples of old scratch records whilst sampling vinyl that Raff used in the early 2000s to DJ in Hip Hop and Funk bands.

Ancient Future Now co-runner Johannes Klingebiel joins forces with singer and multi-instrumentalist Johanna Klein (known for her alternative pop project Liv Alma) to fuse into JKJK. While the naming process of the project might look a little trivial (because it is), the music of the pair is anything but. Their debut EP „Constellations“ is a splash of a broad color palette thrown onto the monochrome landscape that is our contemporary club music scene, elegantly hazing genre boundaries and creating their own world of pop-infused club music (or club-infused pop music?) in the process.

The Waters of Ascension is the story of the physical and spiritual transmutation to other states. Dark waters from which thirsty-enlightenment entities emerge trying to emancipate themselves, evaporating their minds to transcend, seduced perhaps by the promise of an oasis that flows to infinity. These waters have seen birth the matter that is then martyred in an act of consecration to reach the epiphany. 

Four episodes voiced on four tracks and remixed by excellent DJs and producers from different parts of the world such as: Mexico, Peru, Great Britain, Colombia and Spain, reinterpreting the sound of Dr Brodsky through cadence rhythms, ancestral sounds and synthetic melodies that are diluted in a torrent of liquid delays.

"Class Of Taxonomy" is the second EP by Italian dj/producer and tireless music digger A-Tweed, a new concept odd work dedicated to extinct animals and human self-destructive behaviours.
Including remixes by Dengue Dengue Dengue and Ground, and a special paleolithic artwork from the outer space by the great Léo Marsal http://leomarsal.com/

Antonio De Oto aka A-Tweed was born in the upland region of Molise, Southern Italy and after skipping several towns is now based in Rome since 2014.
His music is marked by dark and trippy acid vibes with afrofuturism, cosmic disco, global bass, tropical house, psychedelic tribalism, weird downbeats and 360° worldwide sample digging. 

Each track of the EP is inspired by three different extinct animals.
Opening track "Plesiosaurus Social Security" with its no sense title and its uneasy dark and lo-fi vibes reflect A-Tweed's passion for Scottish Highlands foggy landscapes and tribalism.
Could that Plesiosaurus be "Nessie" from Loch Ness? Maybe...
"Dodo Crash Report", which can also count on an impressive and astonishing remix by Peruvian Berlin based duo Dengue Dengue Dengue, is a metallic wonky arp tune  dedicated to Mauritian extinct bird dodo. Techno meets tribal disco with a powerful bassline and thumping percussive grooves.

Quagga, South-African zebra extinct in 1883, gets its revenge in third track "Zebra Xing" which is a tribal downbeat tune with eerie organic and drum samples and spooky melodies has the purpose of make reflect about human being role in ambiental and zoological disasters. 
This track is also remixed by gifted Japanese Ground from Osaka based label Chill Mountain. Such a good way to close this "acid weird slow disco" EP.
