Our 33rd release, proudly presents an artist who we have wanted to bring to XTK for a very long time - Birmingham based producer, live act and A.U.M resident Dare&Haste.

With previous releases on labels including Trust, Advanced Records and Pareto Park, his supremely crafted and unmistakable vision of stripped, super-tough Techno has received critical acclaim from reviewers and DJ's, including the No.2 slot in Dave Clarke's ADE chart.

The Buried Sound EP is the culmination of the artist's experimentation into a somewhat deeper sound - a change of pace and an injection of darkness resulting in 4 contrasting tracks with a consistent thematic industrial edge, steeped in eeriness but still somehow never without the chiseled percussive onslaught that has earned him so many fans across the Techno spectrum.

Our first release of the New Year signals a second outing on XTK for Birmingham local Mark Whitehouse, who follows up his chart-storming summer debut 'Dark Passenger' with a superb solo single of hard-hitting floor Techno entitled 'The Frequency'

True to it's name, the original mix combines layers of interweaving percussion and peaking stabs with an ultra-low low end groove to create a rolling modern Techno monster.

By contrast Mark's 'It Hertz' interpretation selectively strips away the intensity and replaces it with counter-slung groove, resulting in a great slice of pure midnight Tech peppered with cascading dub chords and shimmering transitional effects.
