Morphed

Again, an Oberheim drone. I've been testing and investigating this new synths ; i did 9 tracks in the past 2 weeks using exclusively the black friday purchase of this great plugins.
Very inspiring toys .
This morning, I decided to do a 10th and last one following this junto's prompt.
Recorded a simple 8 bar melody in F#m  using the OB-X, then played the same melody without really synching to the first one, just add lib, using an OB-E.
Then I added the drone: a low bass sustained  F# on the OB-E and a high pitched F#, both droning for the whole length, using filters to provide some life.
I appreciate your comments on the sound of this synths, personally I'm infatuated with them but I don't have enough perspective yet.

I really enjoyed these drone projects. Wanted to create a minimal atmospheric vibe with this one. Tried to keep the melody as low key and simple as possible. 

Created in Ableton Live using Slate + Ash Choreographs, along with some samples. Valhalla Delay, Valhalla Supermassive and Output Portal were the effects used. Photo taken in San Francisco in 2008, back when I used to live in the SF Bay Area.

Done in two takes on the MatrixBrute, H3000, VVV. Not mastered what? because why.

I write because I need to; intellectually, spiritually and emotionally, and not for any other reason. If you have a use for something please just ask. There are links to XiiixxiQ below. Your mileage may vary as to whether it decides to work on your system as It only runs on a Mac because I really don't have time to do all the necessary work to make it compatible with anything other than my 2015 MacBook Pro :-(. It is still being developed (for my own use) and improved, and I may yet get round to doing another release if I can find the time to tidy it all up.
