This is something I think I wrote whilst stoned at university as part of a remix contest / massive feat of proactive procrastination. I have NO idea what genre of music this is, but there's a lot of violin in there and drums that have been flanged beyond what is artistic (?!)

Hi.

I've been a producer and vocalist for a while and I noticed that there weren't many samples of overtone chanting available to musicians on the interwebs. So I decided to record some for you to do what you want with. These are royalty free etc.

Overtone singing is performed all over the world, but the main influence for these recordings would be the style of the Tuva people in Southern Siberia. Though I would hardly call what I've recorded 'Tuvan style', cos I've never been there, nor have I met a Tuvan person who could give me some critique. But it sounds pretty scary with a bit of reverb and that's what I was going for...

Hi there...

This is another test to see if people find my sound design of any use.

All the percussive sounds in the above demo (which was smashed together in 10 minutes) are enclosed in the download link at the bottom of this description...

So, here's a collection of glitchy and '8 bit' type noises, loosely grouped into sound categories for percussive kit construction (load the .WAVs into your sampler…), general sound design/abuse, etc.

Regarding usage… There's no catch. No mailing list you have to sign up to. No page you have to 'Like on Facebook' to unlock them. Fuck all that nonsense. I just want to put some good stuff out there.

I'm also willing upload all the samples as a Battery kit (which is what I use), if there's enough demand.

This is a song about filling bad people with shrapnel, for the Flynn album, which might actually get released :)

There is no cha cha but the kickdrums sometimes sound like a chaingun maybe. 

Gotta Meshuggah kinda sound going on with the main riff for this. Gonna start calling my shit 'electrometal' and see if anyone gets offended.

Some meandering sounds about a Thracian city visited by Odysseus on his somewhat ridiculous tour around the Mediterranean. He meandered, I meander. There's a theme here, or something?

There's a longer bit that comes after this (I think it's like 7 minutes total), but i was actually happy with the first half, which is like the shorter version for now. I'll probably tweak the second part and release a longer version of this eventually...

A song about Hekate, Supreme Goddess of sorcery and generally pulling off a bunch of weird shit in the dark. She is often represented as having 3 forms or heads. Considering what she represents this is a pretty upbeat song.

This is an old production and needs a little work on the audio levelling (the strings are beating the crap out of...well, everything else). 

Maybe one day when I get time or someone cares enough I'll fix it. 'Til then you'll have to endure ^_^
