MITSUcast 014 - XIME 

The 14th installment of our MITSUcast was recorded by label co-founder XIME. While he was mostly active in the background of MITSU2000 so far, the recent revival of trance in the European dance music scene has inspired him to return behind the decks. ENNEACAST [EC009] - XIME

Since XIME began to be more active in the scene over the course of the last few years, he has mostly focused on the management of different electronic music projects. As he moved to Berlin in 2019, he helped to set-up the independent techno & trance label MITSU2000. Simultaneously, XIME developed a passion for digging through endless digital archives of trance music released in the previous decades which inspired him to become more active musically as well as focus on DJing.

MITMIXEN 031 - XIME

This set marks the start of my new podcast series. My vision In creating music & crafting DJ sets is that I want to capture the 'vibe' of what is surrounding me and express it musically. I'm heavily inspired by cities, both during night time & day time. The way cities 'work', the way people in those cities live and do their everyday things, the way cities 'breathe' if you can phrase it that way. I've always wanted to capture that feeling and this is my first step into this direction. 

Inspired my last trip to Prague, the beautiful capital of the Czech Republic.

PREMIERE: XIME - Soul Surfer (neodyn)

After being an active member of the club scene for 11 years (first as a dancer, then as a label/event organizer and then as a DJ) I decided to take a creative break for a while. Given this I decided to go through my archives and look if I still had some unreleased stuff & found this set I recorded in 2019 for one of my first ever DJ gigs. The gig was cancelled because the party got stopped by law enforcement, but this recording stayed. It is much harder & different from the trance stuff I played in the years after that but keep in mind that I recorded this mix when hard rave was still underground and not all over TikTok. Enjoy!
