Introducing, my sorta crazy EDM/rock cover of the 80s classic “Secret Ambition” by Michael W. Smith. This is one of my favorite songs of all time with awesome lyrics chronicling the story of Jesus. I did my best to pay homage to the original structure, production, and iconic hooks throughout the song, while of course putting my unique spin on it. Getting the kick-drum intro tone alone was a 45-min job in itself and took dozens of midi velocity and EQ auditions to get correct. I tried my hand drawing the artwork myself too. Thought I’d go for something to make the 80s theme pop.

This is a classic that can never truly be surpassed or replicated, but the opportunity was just too fun to pass up. Please enjoy!
