In a showcase of Israel-based talent, renowned psytrance duo Vini Vici and producer Berg join forces on this fresh reimagining of The Beloved 1993 classic ‘Sweet Harmony’. 

Whilst the vocals retain the pure and captivating tone of track, Vini Vici and Berg’s production adds a fresh feel to a timeless and familiar piece. ‘Sweet Harmony’ ebbs and flows beautifully; acoustic guitar and dreamy synths steadily build in momentum before giving way to a punchy beat and dynamic synthlines. The fluctuating sounds in this track add effective texture and a tropical house feel, conjuring images of sun and sand. ‘Sweet Harmony’ is transformed into an up tempo, yet atmospheric floor filler. 

Ever since Vini Vici’s breakout hit ‘Great Spirit’ became the most played track at Tomorrowland 2017, their career has only continued on a vertical trajectory. Considered leaders of the psytrance genre, the duo have entertained crowds at some of the world’s largest music events, including ULTRA Music Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival, A State Of Trance Festival and many more. Their back catalogue of collaborations reads like a who’s who of the electronic scene, including Steve Aoki, Armin van Buuren and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. The duo have now taken their rightful place among the best DJ’s in the world, sitting in 20th position in the DJ Mag Top 100 poll. 

Fellow psytrance connoisseur and Israel-based talent, Berg also showcases his flair on ‘Sweet Harmony’. Berg is renowned for his unique style, drawing on inspiration from a multitude of sounds and trance collaborators, including Infected Mushroom, Skazi and Neelix. Berg has appeared at top events around the world, including Tribe, XXXperience, A State Of Trance and many more and has released music on renowned labels, including Armada and Spin Twist Records. 

Combining the talents of two prominent and influential trance acts on a remake of a 90’s club classic, sounds like a recipe for success and it definitely is. Whilst revisiting classics can sometimes lead to tired and unimaginative tracks, this innovative version avoids this entirely, retaining the familiar feel whilst creating a contemporary sound . Listeners will feel they are hearing this track for the very first time.
