The sounds across these four tracks were made by SIM and NAP from 2021 to 2023 with lots of love and bass... the sessions started from the first time they met at NAP's studio, point always to kick it, jam and see what happens. After a couple months of that of course a sound develops, a process shines and a friendship grows. After a year or so trust built and a language made present. Transcending the spoken word and feeling unique to both...things start to really go off and the jams turn to songs. Two years pass and it’s time to celebrate with the marker and archive of all those deep sessions, now in edited form to be shared with all. And yeah, you can have all in common with someone when it comes to digging wubs, riddims and drum machines but add vulnerable earnest meetings with meals in between and good conversation about things other than music (or maybe how other things relate to it) and then you get something really special, something like SINNAZ. SIM and NAP journeying into collaboration with a debut EP of rhythmic noise, driving bog beats, swampy dembows, radioactive Dancehall and unhinged experimentalia.

The A-Side houses the epynomous Oody Fnk, sporting a mystical nostalgic arpeggiated synth, laser bleeps, thick kicks, riddim, and scatting. Yes, scatting. Bear with us. On the B-Side, things go faster and thicker still.  B1 Moonra is a breaky tech-housey stepper, with a subaquatic feel. An uplifting deep dive, spookily playing with that one break we all know. But from really far away.  
B2 Grad has 2-step garage feel. One for the MCs. Erratic, energetic, hectic. But with a reassuringly repetitive bassline. Wait, we got one more ting:  The digi-only Ringtone is a dynamic, high-energy, digital xylophone excursion. Like Donkey Kong on ecstasy. And in space, somehow.

Current Bias presents a VIP mix of 'State Smasher,' originally featured on Racquet Club’s 'Networks' compilation in December 2019. The track was chosen and reworked for Sebastian Geilings' dance work 'How Much Of You Is Repetition?' (2023), exploring themes of trauma and survival. 
The release aims to raise awareness and funds in response to ongoing violence in Palestine following the Hamas attack in October 2023. This initiative underscores the ongoing efforts for justice and support for affected communities. Proceeds from the release will be donated to Medical Aid for Palestine."
Our attention to issues of grave destruction, murder, and dislocation requires a continuous effort and motivation to action in order for the atrocity to cease. To those who have signed petitions, fundraised, marched locally to local and federal governments, camped at university campuses, disrupted IDF affiliated Israeli shipping schedules, slapped stickers and painted the streets, had conversations with family, friends, workers, peers about how we can help, all of these initiatives go a long way towards liberation of the Palestinian people.
