Following two seminal EPs for Lobster Theremin and a breakout debut for Nous, Route 8's 'Dry Thoughts EP' gets a wavy rework. Gone are the title track and B2 and in is 'Relaxed', a summer house anthem that slams from the high heavens. Today's Premiere is by Vancouver based producer Jesse Bru. Released through French imprint Egoplanet, his latest offering, the "Roach Fingers" EP, features four tracks of raw yet elaborate house music. Take the title track here : a clever use of samples, solid beats, syncopated Rhodes parts, the Canadian producer distils proper late night warehouse groove through your ears and body. The vinyl is out just in time for Christmas, get it while you can, this will definitely grow on you!

Who better to kick off the inaugural release of SOBO [Sounds Of Beaubien Ouest] than Patrick Holland, best known as Project Pablo. Affiliated with the Canadian Riviera's 1080p troupe, as well as Seb Wildblood's Church and Lone's Magicwire – Holland now adds Beaubien Dream as the fourth instalment to his 12" series. The Beaubien connection comes from Montreal's Rue Beaubien, of which Holland is a resident. SOBO is headed up by fellow longstanding citizens of the Beaubien Ouest hood, Arbutus Records and their extended family – of which Holland is an instrumental part.

An initial teaser of the EP's opening "Closer" was aired publicly during Holland's BR London set back in October, as well as his NTS appearance with Lone and Gabriola earlier this year. Now, after a patient seven-month wait, we can finally wrap our mitts around it in its entirety. Alongside its two subsequent components, the track acts as a homage to Holland's home. With its distinctive Dx7 melodies, jingly percussion provided by bells (of the cow variety amongst others) and an insatiable groove growing lazily throughout – "Closer" is instantaneous happiness.

The French tastemakers over at Delicieuse Musique have been busy compiling their first in a series of VA releases. Liquors No.1, a smorgasbord of deep club tracks is due to hit the shelves in mid February and will be also available on vinyl.

We’ve got the exclusive on Jesper Ryom’s contribution ‘Pacer’. Throughout its seven minute duration, it morphs into a beautiful sunrise track, comprised of piano melodies and an undulating bass riff. If there’s one track that you listen to today, make it this.

The diner was exceptionally busy as he opened the front door into the plastic coated maze. The smell of bacon radiated from deep inside the restaurant as if it were a part of the very furniture itself. Waitresses ran hurriedly between impatient tables pouring drinks and serving customers. They looked frazzled beneath the artifical glow of the neon lights... Breakfast at Wendys was always a finely tuned affair, a cultural eye opener if you will.
