The collaboration with Modular Project continues in 2019 with the release of 'Vivid Poison', their new single.
Alberto Iovine and Alessandro Fumagalli started to work together in 2015, joined by a strong love for music and vintage synths, and now they are running their own record label Nothing Is Real, spreading their music in Italy and around Europe.

Their electronic style is influenced by new wave and 80’s sound fusing powerful drums, pulsating synths for an emotional impact. ‘Vivid Poison' is the perfect example of this mixture.
Originally conceived after a jamming in the studio, after listening to a lot of Italo disco music, the song comes to life thanks to the collaboration with the artist Eleonora Zaripova.
The Russian-Tartarian artist now living in Berlin has a classical music education and jazz-experience. Her beautiful voice transmits fragility and strength, melancholy and soul, and fit perfectly with the music produced by Alberto and Alex, taking us back in time.

The release also includes two valuable remixes. After her debut on Rebirth in 2017 Perel is back on the label with two strong remixes combining the original vocals with her unique 90’s synth pop sound.
Tel Aviv artist Nadav Spiegel aka Autarkic, follows his productions on Disco Halal, Golf Channel and Turbo with a powerful remix, injecting his modern Israeli vibe, filthy, intensive yet emotional.

Modular Project feat. Eleonora - Vivid Poison (Perel Miami Beach Remix)

Andres Komatsu (SXDNS067) is finally back on our platform! This time with his beautiful new release on NUFF MUSIC: "Static Advice" brings 5 tracks, divided into 3 originals and 2 remixes, provided by Fringe Society and El Fulminador.

The premiered track, "Le Complexe Du Babtou", is a tune made to express Andres’s feelings towards "people who can’t stop embracing all the demands made by minorities of all kinds. For the sake of positioning oneself at any cost on the side of the oppressed", he said.  "I'm gay and Latino living in France, but I don’t feel obliged to marry all movements or always be in opposition to the majority movements. Conversely, I know many French who marry all causes so much that I wonder if they don’t have a complex”, Andres added.

In order to express his thoughts and feelings via his music, Komatsu created an ominous and obscure – but groovy – downtempo masterpiece whose main elements are a sturdy bassline and a daunting acid layer with sharp distortions.

New year, new music. Trampoliner welcomes Russian DJ & producer Zakir to the family. Zakir has a long history in the electronic dance scene, known for his versatile production skills and his exceptional and broad taste in music. With frequent releases on Sol Selectas and Disco Halal to name a few under his belt, he sure is one to keep a close eye on.

The title track is a real beast of a tune, combining his own style of breakbeats mixed with acid resulting in a super edgy and funky track. 'In Time' is an uplifting tune in which a rich and raw bassline powering along the track as you get lost in the magic of what feels like melodies from a golden era of the past.

Calypso Records boss and co-founder Iñigo Vontier does what he does best, delivering a trippy, heavy and well-knit mix of the title track that will lift the spirit of any dancefloor. Ombra International family member Skelesys slow things down on 'In Time' with his famously 'haunted sound' in what is a banger out of this world.

Neon was formed in Florence during the 1980s by Marcello Michelotti (aka neoONE, vox and synth), and Stefano Gasparinetti Fuochi (aka neoTWO, synth). Their first single "Informations of Death" encapsulated their visionary mix of gothic elements with new wave, synth pop, rock and dance. The single was originally released as a limited edition of 500 copies, with gatefold cover and poster insert, and later appeared on the band's only LP release, Rituals, released in 1985.

Alessio Natalizia of WALLS (Kompakt) has included "Informations of Death" in his connoisseur's selection of fringe Italian electronic music of the 80s on his Mutazione compilation, set to be released on Strut Records this August.

Most of my playlists are not organized & just hold songs I'm interested in, many of which I haven't listened to yet. The "freeform current listening" playlist is as it says & will be updated regularly. Many of my reposts were unintentional, they were just random tracks I was trying to add to a playlist using my phone & I've got clumsy fingers.
