Still, it is his work outside of his native land that has moved the sound forward and he has grown alongside it. As the Romanian strain of intricate, yet emotive minimal began to evolve into a more stripped form, Nu Zau and his co-founded UVAR imprint were at the vanguard. ここ近年、世界でミニマルハウスシーンを語る上ではルーマニアという街は決して欠かせないシーンになっていることは、ここ日本のアーティストの誰もが感じていることだろう。
毎週日本のレコードショップでも、そのルーマニアのアーティストやレーベルが必ずというほど入荷され、必ずというほどその週には売り切れ状態になる。その火付け役となったレーベルが Raresh、Petre Inspirescu、Rhadoo の3名からなる [a:rpia:r] だ。彼らがワールドワイドに台頭していく中、驚くほど若き才能が彼らに継いで生まれていった。
中でも Praslea というアーティストが取り上げられるだろう。彼はすでにルーマニアシーンでは欠かすことのできない存在であり、地元ブカレストでも幾度も Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano, Ritchie Hawtin, Zip といったビッグネームと共演を果たしていった。そして、Gig を重ねていく間、盟友 Cezar と 「Afumati」 というプロジェクトをスタートさせ [a:rpia:r] からスプリット EP をリリース。また、彼自身と Kozo、Cezar でスタートさせたレーベル 「UNDERSTAND」 から1st EP として Raresh とのプロジェクト、Praslesh で"Out Of Time"をリリース。たったこの2枚のリリースでルーマニアだけではなく、今ではヨーロッパ各国からのオファーが絶えない存在に成長した。
