Quickly following up the last, instant sell-out smash, Shir Khan's infamous "Black Jukebox" series hit us with the 12th edition. Introducing anonymous project Aussteiger who gets things bouncing with the Summer house monster, "Bangbao". Lush filter sweeps, twinkling keys and powerful bass are order of the day here as the producer works his magic on one of the sunniest grooves we've heard this year. "Return" keeps that outdoor terrace flavour but plunges us deep into the twilight, tribal drums and deep electronics locking us into its hypnotic recess. Martin Lewis contributes a seriously fun and summery version of "Now That We Found Love", utilizing glorious xylophones and horns throughout the melody and letting it roll out with aplomb. Finally, we get the cheeky "Do It" edit which combines hypnotic congas with funky guitar licks and a sun-burnt, Latin energy to create a sizzling brew of hot dancefloor energy. Great stuff! 'Rush Hour' features thick kicks, brooding bass tones and mystical synths but it's the second half of the track where everything comes to life. That tropical slant makes a return alongside dwarfing low-end rumbles, making this a cut that keeps you on your toes throughout.

Lancelot is a producer/maker/doer before all else.

A graduate of Sydney’s Conservatorium of Music, Lancelot spent several years in touring bands before charging into the club scene in early 2013. Following a string of warmly received records and a constant touring schedule through Australia and Europe, it was 2014’s ‘Givin’ It Up’ EP on acclaimed UK label Anjunadeep that sprung Lancelot into the scene.

Lancelot closed 2014 touring the United States, before dropping a string of releases; ‘Connection’ on Anjunadeep, a well-received edit of Four Tet via the Deep House Amsterdam crew and most recently, a three track EP on Waze & Odyssey’s w&o Street Tracks imprint.

Lancelot has headlined clubs across the UK, Europe, United States and Asia, performed at festivals including Secret Garden Party (UK), Warehouse Project (UK), Field Day (Sydney) and TomorrowWorld (Atlanta) and warmed the wheels for Jamie Jones, Julio Bashmore, Horsemeat Disco and more.

Today, we present the latest from Lancelot, which comes by way of Sweden's Trunkfunk Records "15 Years of Trunkfunk" compilation. Featuring a medley of tracks that have shaped the sound of Trunkfunk, the release features four fresh exclusives, of which Lancelot's 'As It Were' is one.

Released through French imprint Egoplanet, his latest offering, the "Roach Fingers" EP, features four tracks of raw yet elaborate house music. Take the title track here : a clever use of samples, solid beats, syncopated Rhodes parts, the Canadian producer distils proper late night warehouse groove through your ears and body. The Houseum Records family is proud to announce that it continues to grow with this new Various Artists EP. To fly to new horizons, Astro, Sunfleur, Harisson BDP and Aemone gathered a collection of 4 tracks with deep and dubby sounds.

Ready for a power takeoff with Astro? From the beginning, this track sends us to another planet with the bassline. And the hypnotic beats certainly make a spacey banger! Sunfleur embarks you in the ship Vostok 1, for a cosmic ballad mixed with sweet and nostalgic lines of synths. This very smooth groove and these robotic vocals make us float.

On the B side, Harrison BDP gives us a darker track. The gravity leads us to a real fusion of reverberating drum lines and entrancing pads, It feels like entering a black hole. Finally the trip ends on a smooth landing with Clouds produced by the Belgian Aemone, we want to land on the clouds with this fluffy rhythm and these captivating vocals.
