On July 26th both gentlemen came to Trouw together for the first time and gave us an amazing set filled with primitive house, post-punk, dub, krautrock, disco and new beat. With Echoes, Bas Dobbelaer takes you on an introspective journey where shifting rhythms and immersive atmospheres intertwine, creating a very deep contribution to the series.

“With this mix I tried to find the deeper layer of certain tracks and not limit myself too much with different tempo’s ranges. If it fits the vibe and helping the flow, it’s probably the right spot.

Creating a mix is an interesting creative outlet to discovering new possibilities and refining the art of setting the tone. Balancing on that thin line with endless opportunities, reflects the perfect capture of the feeling and learnings of today.”
