Emile Strunz was born across the dancefloors of Spain, Germany and London, amidst the dry ice and strobes at many a Front 242 and Nitzer Ebb gig. Exposure to the UK's club scene over a 20-year period has seen Emile contribute to Mixmag and write for the Cream clubbing empire.

A sound has slowly develop and christened 'North Sea Body Music' comprising of driving controlled electronic sequences, tribal rhythms, and robotic chanting. His debut single, 'Shields', released on Andy Blake's World Unknown label in 2012 was an immediate introduction to his hard, heavy and hypnotic electronic sound. This has been followed up by releases on Porn Wax, Flight Recorder and Rothmans. For Join Our Club he continues his sonic quest and journey into the night with 2 precise slabs of dancefloor-driven synth-heavy lo-slung hypnotica for Balearic Beat Boys (and Girls).

Italy via Shanghai is the route taken for the debut E.P of Neapolitan producer Altieri, aka Eugenio Altieri. A designer living in Shanghai, Eugenio started to make music back in 2004, mixing music and visuals to create his “weirdo production” sessions. After traveling east he founded the DesToys duo, a live project that channelled space disco and 80s commercial music.

Edo is a personal view over the modern Asia, Japan in this case. Inspired by the street sounds and bugged out day to day world of Tokyo his debut EP is four tracks of slippery head music. Chiseled from the deep seams of an intergalactic mine and informed by the dark heart of house and no wave disco this is club music from the oily underbelly.

"My own loss of Chinese and estrangement from my blood shouldn’t be hidden, and the translations aren’t all correct. 

Baojiaxiang is the street that my family lives on. It is a homonym to a system of community enforcement, of looking out for one another. To me in writing it looks like “to hold the home alley.” My mother always told me that there’s nothing more important than what others think of you. I never asked her if she knew about this similarity. 

The orchestra of the frozen state is the machine, my laptop. It belongs to my past in my estrangement as well as the functions of this estrangement, with what little money my mother had that she spent on my classical training. More often than most kids in the hood I found myself in a suit, on a stage, in front of a bunch of rich people. Now more often than not I find myself longing to be there again, a component of a larger system that I could blindly spew my technique into without regard to its meaning. 

I made this tape because I don’t know who I am. I understand that this is a common problem, and that most people solve it by looking into their pasts, or connecting with their family, or something. None of these are viable, or possible really. I don’t believe I was ever meant to become a doctor and support family. I can’t see myself moving weight from one city in Arizona to another. I fucked up my voice with smoking so I can’t sing in choir anymore. 

So I took all of that piano knowledge and made something that sounds a little bit more like all the people around me. I want to thank all of my friends for holding me up along the way. I want to thank Los Angeles for giving me this gift of confidence in a lush, dissonant sound. I want to thank every dead white man for writing music that helped me become better than all their sons. I will thank China when I finally go home."

bod [包家巷] - SIDE_A Excerpt [VOID_047]

D’incarnations en réincarnations, Judah Warsky et Yeti Lane se côtoient et s’apprécient depuis leurs débuts. Il aura pourtant fallu attendre 2017 pour qu’une première collaboration ait lieu, chacun remixant l’autre, juste comme ça, pour le fun.
Tandis que Judah, depuis Buenos Aires, a silencieusement transposé Ne Dis Rien au cours d’une semaine de printemps au milieu de l’automne, à Paris les Yeti Lane se sont enfermés dans leur repaire souterrain et, seuls face à l’écran de leur studio, ont ré-enregistré le titre de Judah.
Le résultat : un quart d’heure de total trip narcotique et envoûtant.

They ran wild, jumped between the hoops and watched as the world ran riot in a distant maze. Past the circles there was a glistening growl from the crowd who watch the bikes spin fast. The sound of engines roared inside the circus tent as they began to accelerate around the inside of the metallic bulb. The darkness was black and still but the noise of the machines and the rubber on steel was deafening and loud. It was a beautiful dance, the engines in musical chaos. 

La Mverte is set to release a new EP called "The Inner Out" on Her Majesty's Ship. It is accompanied by an in house favourite in the form of Matias Aguayo who remixes in tasteful style.

This EP was born with the idea to achieve the punk and the rocknroll vibes while using synths and electronic sounds. The guitar found its way inside very quickly and the distortion sound was essential to the atmosphere. Essentially, it's the best soundtrack for your martial arts training sessions - or for any other occasion, really.
