Dr.Ozi is at it again with more speaker crushing bass music. Joining genres to create something more interesting and making things like never before with their new EP Girliez. Girliez: This track starts off with heavy kicks and a great loop in the background giving the track a perfect intro, bringing the vocals together with a catchy progressive sound to start the build up. The drop picks up of with a throbbing kick giving a lot of lift in the mid range for the melody. The build up towards the drop makes Girliez a really powerful track, the sub will make the windows shake, but at the same time the melody is following it perfectly. The half beat switch to trap shows Ozis true versatility. Knee Deep: This track in particular gives a nostalgic club feel in the intro, bringing out the old vibe of how electronic music used to be in 90s trance. The drop introduces a caliber of Trap and Dubstep together that Dr.Ozi has never done before, the tracks groove alongside its heavy hitting snares and synths make it instantly danceable, Knee Deep, in the middle does their notorious switch up, this time into Dubstep making the track harder and even more bass-face-worthy for the listeners.

A curated series where we commission artists to make a mix of whatever inspires them to experiment, produce and what they listen to.

The latest Mesh mix arrives in the form of bristolian artist and producer, Thomas Ridley. Cutting his teeth in the world of analogue electronic composition and live performance. Thomas takes a collage-like approach to recording and resampling a small collection of analogue instruments, in search of compositions that are imaginative and unwieldy. 

This mix showcases the dark, often euphoria inducing, clubbier sounds to his musical palette, and at intervals applying a psy-bending-repetitive blend of beats, tones, vocals and stabs. Listen loud.

Victor Niglio - Crossbones (Original Mix)

Leftfield is a British electronic music group formed in 1989. It began as the duo of Neil Barnes and Paul Daley. In January 2010 Barnes resurrected Leftfield without Daley and, after touring for a few years, finished writing new material for a third album entitled Alternative Light Source. Daley declined to be involved and is focusing upon his solo career. The duo was very influential in the evolution of electronic music in the 1990s, with Mixmag describing them as "the single most influential production team working in British dance music". As with many of their contemporaries, such as the Chemical Brothers, Leftfield was notable for their use of guest vocalists in their works. Among those involved were Toni Halliday on "Original", Johnny Rotten on "Open Up", Djum Djum on "Afro-Left", and Earl 16 and Cheshire Cat on "Release the Pressure". The term progressive house was coined to define their style, a fusion of house with dub and reggae.

In an interview with Neil Barnes and Paul Daley of the group, published in 2017 on The Skinny, Paul Daley mentioned how John Peel influenced Leftfield via dub and reggae: "Dub and reggae had been around in my life from punk gigs of the mid seventies, and listening to the John Peel late night shows of the late seventies – it had a big influence on a lot of the feel of Leftism."

A 57 minutes extended edit version of The Orb's Blue room (1992) with several weird samples underlying the Orb's music. In fact, I have used more than 50 voice samples and extended the track from 34 minutes to 57 minutes with the awesome basslines of The Orb and studio wizardry of Kris Weston. I will remove it upon request. NO LSD was used during this process.
