In a contemplative exploration on solitude, Sergio Díaz De Rojas has delved into a nostalgic state of mind after moving from Peru to Spain, leaving friends and family behind for a new chapter of his life. Various late nights by the piano led to the creation of a softly sorrowful tribute to one of his favourite composers, Fryderyk Chopin.

The project got its title from Sergio’s fascination of old postcards to be found while slowly strolling through a quiet flea market, lending a vivid visual for the wistful sense of (dis)connection apparent in the two pieces. Porcelain, beautifully fragile, has a solemn intensity in its movement, flowing with the grace and concentration of a dancer, easily evoking a sense of lonesome mindfulness. Pomegranate is equally graceful but harbouring a hint of sensuality; it beckons and moves away, slow-burning but relentlessly passionate.

Postcards is available digital and on limited edition 7-inch vinyl, featuring artwork by multidiciplinary designer Ryan Carl.

Tomash GHz - Summer Glow Mix 2020

We are excited to announce the first ever Intumi release, Anshan by crouds.

Produced during a residency in Shanghai in summer 2019, the EP deviates from the duo's previous releases and improvised livesets. The four tracks feature intricate rythmic patterns, forward pushing shifting drumgrooves and gritty sound design. Drawing inspiration from their immediate surroundings, their experience gained from playing livesets and a deliberately chosen set of tools, crouds crafted a concept EP to leave a unique mark.

Anshan is a place in our memory perceived so long ago, we are not quite sure ourselves if it ever existed the way we remember it. Led by nostalgia, inspired by a lost feeling. We did not find what we came here for so we started crafting to fill the void. Freed by restrictions, some of which we chose ourselves and others imposed on us by foreign powers. The result is a new place to withdraw our minds to. Soon to be coated by doubts of its existence again.

The EP includes three remixes by Berlin-based artists. JakoJako presents a fast-paced interpretation of You Talk The Talk. The track Overhowl gets revisited by Alternativ3 with a leftfield-oriented version, and by Sacha Ketterlin, who puts his dancefloor stamp on it.

Inspired whilst exploring abandoned spaces in suburban Paris, this new project was developed in creative fusion with the work of Arnaud Liard, a visual artist specialising in urban art. The collaboration formed led to an innovative visual concept wherein music and painting become one.
This first single marks the launch of six unique objet d’art that will be unveiled in November 2020.

Resurgence is also accompanied by a limited edition of 40 custom made cassettes which are be on sale on Your Master's Voice Records’ website.

I recently started to give my Digitakt Jams titles. "Reject My Mind" got pretty atmospheric with a sweet experimental infusion. 

So yes this track is a Digitakt performance. The background texture of the extra long intro (I love long buildups!) uses the Digitakts trigg repeat feature at a speed of 1/64, prohabiltiy of 50% and combined with different Loopback LFO modulations on the delay and reverb channels.

Don't Care (feat. Taison Cloud)

Sub Person VII is a composition from the soundtrack for the short film and research-art installation Sub Persona.
Managing forests is not a subject of everyday conversations, seldom even theoretical thinkings. But for the art tandem PLATEAURESIDUE these topics are the core of their artistic and also research work in which they connect landscape ecology and new media like film and photography and later exhibit them in various gallery spaces. For the project Sub Persona they invited Domen Učakar to accompany their visual work with the audio setting. Domen Učakar has been performing and publishing music under the moniker Lifecutter for more than six years now and Sub Persona is his fourth album and a second one (after Safe Place - 2016 with Iztok Klančar) which has been made with a tight connection to a strong visual work.

The music captures the relation between humans and forests, which are the condition for life existence on Earth and at the same time an important economic resource. The ambient sonic structures may at first seem to communicate a feeling at peace with the current situation, but as the  unnamed compositions progress they unveil the sheer brutality, the suspense of the dead silence and the unseen freshness of life, which all constitute our fascination with the natural woods.
The project Sub Persona “focuses on the importance of forests, its ecosystemic, economic, recreational and cultural functions, which are too often taken for granted by humans” and Lifecutter manages to capture this focus in music in an elegant and unique way, in which he focuses on the more abstract and experimental sound with the modulation of guitar effects and field recordings.
